Obama Mulls Hagel [and Lugar] for Cabinet [MEGA BARF ALERT]

Sen. Barack Obama is already plotting the makeup of his Cabinet, and it includes two prominent Republicans.

According to the Sunday Times of London, Obama has his sights set on Sens. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and Richard Lugar of Indiana. Hagel has been an outspoken opponent of the Iraq war, and Lugar is the ranking GOP member on the Senate foreign relations committee.

Senior advisers told the Times that Hagel is being considered for the secretary of defense post, and Lugar as secretary of state.

Obama would only say to the Times: “Chuck Hagel is a great friend of mine and I respect him very much.”

Larry Korb, a defense official under President Reagan told the Times: “By putting a Republican in the Pentagon and the State Department you send a signal to Congress and the American people that issues of national security are above politics.”

President Obama? RINO Hagel for Secretary of Defense? Richard Lugar for Secretary of State?

What do y'all think?

Seems like he’s getting the cart before the horse.

But let’s keep Hillary out of this.

If Mitch Daniels is reelected in Indiana then I will be glad to have Lugar out of the Senate. 32 years is too much anyway. Let Daniels appoint a better senator. If a Dem wins the governorship though we need Lugar to stay where he is. Hagel is out after this term anyway.

I’m with Rush. Pubbies in Texas should cross over to vote for the Hildebeast. We have to keep her in the race for as long as possible, to meximize the opportunity for Rat-on-Rat fratricide.

Yes, including Lawrence Korb, who sounds like a “truther” whenever he is on TV.

Sell outs!

They might as well change their party. There is no point in pretending to be a Republican. Mark my words, if this keeps up we will only have ONE PARTY - the Demoncrats.

The GOP had better muster up some brass ones. They are already on the endangered species list with all this bending over and “reaching across the isle”.

I want Hiltery to win the Demoncrat nominee slot. Although I loathe McCain, i’d rather have him as the Demoncrat that wins.

I’m not sold on this strategy, as it gives the media an excuse for all Democrat news, all the time. (Except for the periodic NY Times hit pieces on McCain, of course!)

It also gives Obama more time to be favorably compared with Hillary, rather than having to go up against the ideologically different (to at least some degree!) McCain.

Osama Hussein is only pretending to "mull". This is an unabashed phony press "leak" to mine any stray liberal Republican cross-over voters with Super Tuesday and then Pennsylvania coming up.

The chances of Lugar and even Hagel being appointed to cabinet posts are about equal to mine.

This says a lot about Hegel and Lugar, though, doesn't it.

Exactly. He is also probably mulling Santa Claus as well, big deal.

This is just fodder for the stupid and gullible. Now, when Hussein Obama starts talking about Colin Powell as a cabinet member I may take notice.

Maybe he’ll make McCain the Attorney General or put him in charge of the Department of Homeland Security.

members of the Chamberlain Appeasers Club . . .

You insult the memory of Neville Chamberlain. Remember, he eventually got it after Hitler invaded Poland.
