On a just-finished conference call in which retired military leaders endorsed Hillary Clinton to be commander in chief, retired General Wesley Clark said John McCain's military experience is not the right kind of experience to command the nation's armed forces:
In the national security business, the question is, do you have when you have served in uniform, do you really have the relevant experience for making the decisions at the top that have to be made? Everybody admires John McCain's service as a fighter pilot, his courage as a prisoner of war. There's no issue there. He's a great man and an honorable man. But having served as a fighter pilot and I know my experience as a company commander in Vietnam that doesnt prepare you to be commander-in-chief in terms of dealing with the national strategic issues that are involved. It may give you a feeling for what the troops are going through in the process, but it doesn't give you the experience first hand of the national strategic issues. If you look at what Hillary Clinton has done during her time as the First Lady of the United States, her travel to 80 countries, her representing the U.S. abroad, plus her years in the Senate, I think she's the most experienced and capable person in the race, not only for representing am abroad, but for dealing with the tough issues of national security.
Speaking just after Clark, retired Admiral William Owens, former vice chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, said, "I would just say that I agree with Wes on that."

Poor Wesley...his slip is showing....again!! What a dolt.
Clark is such a Idiot.
While I am a McCain detractor, this one thing that I can say is a positive for McCain.
Ugh... Barf. Weasley Clark better figure out what mess Kosovo has become.
Well that’s just ridiculous. So is Weasley Clark.
Being married to Bill Clinton hardly qualifies Hillary to be Commander in Chief.
This is utterly ridiculous.
Wes Clark is ridiculous.....looking to be Hillary’s VP...
LOL
As much as I despise McCain, at least he was never fired for incompetence and lying. Clark brought those traits into his military career, whilst McCain needed to learn them from his fellow politicians after retirement
Retired General Wesley Clark’s entire body is made up of jealous bones!
I just heard this on Fox and about lost my lunch. I’d love to know what this oaf would say if McCain had a “D” behind his name.
Clark isn’t called weasel for nothing.
Wesley the Weasel. Someone should demand that he give those stars back. They obviously were obtained by brown nosing.
maybe, but Hillary and Obama Hussein don’t either.
Or how about mamma’s boy Hussein — the clown’s fundamental lack of manhood isn’t a bar to being CIC?
Therefore Hillary is qualified? looks like Wes flunked basic logic
I guess that means Barrack(redacted)Obama and Hillary do?
LMAO - coming from Loon in Chief
Did top-of-his-class-at-Annapolis Carter have the right stuff compared to bottom-of-his-class McCain?
Wesley Clark thought John Kerry’s four MONTHS in Vietman were more worthy than McCain’s six years.
Yeah that’s the best way to attack McCain. /s
I guess Bill Clinton’s running to the Soviet Union and protesting is the kind of experience Wes thinks is better suited or Gore’s limited time in ‘Nam as a writer or Kerry’s now debunked Swift Boat stories of heroism. No doubt Hillary’s documented hatred for the military is better too.
This kind of bunk from Clark reminds me of left wingers who tore down Bush 41 for his heroisn and Dole too in order to make their candidate more palatable to the masses.
