Q Can I ask one quick clarification, Ms. Payton? I just want to be sure that I understood this correctly. It's fair to say that the possibility of this creating jobs in the United States was not a factor in your selection process; correct?
MS. PAYTON: That's correct.

If this stands I am voting Obama Huessin to slow the future development of US defense systems by foreign nationals.

Why not hire motivated kids right out of high school or better yet, the one’s coming out of the military.. Train them and sponsor thru college with a working scholarship..

Yea, EXCEPT, Airbus and EADS are the MOST unionized, inefficient outfit on earth. The sheer fact the thing still exists is a testament to EU’s commitment to socialist welfare jobs programs. Hell they had 2 CEOs, one French one German, to ensure that noone would EVER be laid off in either country. I mean, c’mon. How in the heck could they outbid Boeing, unless the EU will be subsidizing them in effect paying for a share of our equipment.

BIG NEWS FOR MOBILE.
I've read that this contract will mean that Mobile will become the 3rd largest aircraft manufacturing area in the world.

I don’t care if it costs twice as much but make 100% of it here!
Re bidding: I bet we can get Iranian solders for less money than it costs for a Marine.

"...the Air Force believed that Northrup Grumman produced a better plane than Boeing" Lets just cut through the Bee Ess.
Its not a Northrup Grumman design, its a modified Airbus A330.

Our military should get the finest military equipment possible.<<<
And when the next Jacques Chirac gets elected to run France, and refuses to sell us spares because we are in some flap with a Middle Eastern country that they have an oil contract with, you will....
still applaud?

Doesn’t John Sidney McCain, III cite killing the Boeing Tanker deal as proof he can stop wasteful spending? Well, the Pentagon accquisition folks know how it would have looked to President McCain if they had awarded the contract to an American airplane maker.

I noticed that almost all of those states you listed are "red" states.
Case closed. Give the contract to Airbus!

Way to go, so let’s have half the jets then.

Based on your posts in this thread, you were more than likely going to be voting for him anyways.
Time to change your SN to PROlibzone.

Based on the posts in this thread.
But not based on my history of posts here at FR.
A smart governor will soon negotiate a deal to use Chinese solders ( cost savings) to fight for us.
Hire them but house them on bases built here in the US thus creating jobs for Americans.
