Chip Wall can't help but zero in on the little stuff whenever he watches Barack Obama on TV.
It's his old pal Stanley.
For Wall and a few dozen others, Obama on the campaign trail often brings to mind Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama's mother and a strong-willed, unconventional member of the Mercer Island High School graduating class of 1960.
"She was not a standard-issue girl of her times...
"She touted herself as an atheist, and it was something she'd read about and could argue,"
the only child was a ... daughter of a father who wanted a boy so badly that he named her Stanley -- after himself.
Stanley Ann Dunham's formative years, spent not on the Great Plains but more than 1,800 miles away on a small island in the Pacific Northwest.
Stanley Dunham died in 1992, and the Obama campaign declined to make Madelyn Dunham, 84, available.
In 1955, the chairman of the Mercer Island school board, John Stenhouse, testified before the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party.
The marriage failed. Stanley Ann filed for divorce in 1964 and remarried two years later, when her son was 5. The senior Obama finished his work at Harvard and returned to Kenya, where he hoped to realize his big dreams of taking a place in the Kenyan government.
Years later, Abercrombie and another grad school friend looked up their old pal during a trip through Africa.
At that point, the senior Obama was a bitter man, according to the congressman, feeling that he had been denied due opportunities to influence the running of his country. "He was drinking too much; his frustration was apparent," .
To Abercrombie's surprise, Obama never asked about his ex-wife or his son.

It is important to understand that Obama is a red-diaper baby whose current radicalism is part and parcel of his family history.
The Presidency is a public trust, not just a nine-to-five job for which a poor schmuck cursed with anti-American parents should receive equal consideration because he needs to feed his family.
If David Duke’s son went to Harvard Law and ran for President, people would want to make sure that that son disavowed his parent.

Grandfather Obama sent his son to a missionary school but after completing his education, the youth could find little work except goatherding in his remote village of Nyangoma Kogela, in the roadless hills of Western Kenya.
At 18, he married a girl called Kezia. But Obama Snr was more interested in politics and economics than his family and his political leanings had been brought to the notice of leaders of the Kenyan Independence movement.
He was put forward for an American-sponsored scholarship in economics, with the idea being that he would eventually use his Western-honed skills in the new Kenya. At the age of 23 he headed for university in Hawaii, leaving behind the pregnant Kezia and their baby son.
Relatives say he was already a slick womaniser and, once in Honolulu, he promptly persuaded a fellow student called Ann - a naive 18-year-old white girl - to marry him. Barack Jnr was born in August, 1961.
Two years later, Obama Snr was on the move again. He was accepted at Harvard, and left his little boy and wife behind when he moved to the exclusive east coast university.
Ann divorced her husband after she discovered his bigamous double life. She remarried and moved to Indonesia with young Barack and her new husband, an oil company manager.
Obama Snr was forced to return to Kenya, where he fathered two more children by Kezia. He was eventually hired as a top civil servant in the fledgling government of Jomo Kenyatta - and married yet again.
Now prosperous with a flashy car and good salary, his third wife was an American-born teacher called Ruth, whom he had met at Harvard while still legally married to both Kezia and Ann, and who followed him to Africa.
A relative of Mr Obama says: “We told him[Barack] how his father would still go to Kezia and it was during these visits that she became pregnant with two more children. He also had two children with Ruth.”
It is alleged that Ruth finally left him after he repeatedly flew into whisky-fuelled rages, beating her brutally.

Obama Jr. had just about as much connection with Obama Sr. as Bill Clinton had with his biological father—essentially none beyond what Obama Jr. projected on him as a child. Understanding Jr. really begins by understanding what a self-loathing fellow travelling flake his mother was. Obama should no more be expected to speak honestly to America at large than he would be expected to speak honestly to his screwed-up mother, who ditched him to go off and write a doctoral dissertation on Indonesian blacksmithing.
Exposing Obama’s radical roots is not “picking on his mother”.
Obama is running on his autobiography, not his record. If his autobiography is a lie, his campaign disintegrates.
Apparently McCarthy was a prophet. "Society's" in the bag. The White House would be icing on the cake. Like a bunch of camel jockeys flying hijacked airplanes into building...and having them both reduced to dust within hours.
He's Muslim, and he's Christian. He's anything anyone wants him to be. And maybe that means he's nothing at all.
And if that doesn't give the American voter pause, what will?

Critical thinking and debate about public officials and candidates for national offices can be rough sometimes. The fact is that the nation and the people are more important than the candidate or the feelings of their supporters. Whinning about decency and kindness does no good. In fact it is legally indefensible regarding a public official. Deal with it.
From what you related it appears Obama is a figurehead for public corruption.

I think the FDA restricts American products to 2% but there is no such restriction elsewhere.
