PRINCE HARRY FIGHTS ON FRONTLINES IN AFGHANISTAN; 3 MONTH TOUR Thu Feb 28 2008 11:01:34 ET

**World Exclusive**

They're calling him "Harry the Hero!"

British Royal Prince Harry has been fighting in Afghanistan since late December -- and has been directly involved in gun battle, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

The prince, a junior officer in the Blues and Royals, and third in line to the throne, has been a "magnificent soldier" and an "inspiration to all of Briton."

What are you talking about? Of course his life is at stake.

Hmmmm. Drudge says he was shipped home today, just as I said he would be. Reconsider your opinion.

“So some prince is more valuable than an “ordinary” soldier?”

Is the US president more valuable than an “ordinary” politician?

That should be the Crown of The United Kingdom of Great Britan, Northern Ireland and The Commonwealth.

It was a very minor combatant though. And I dont think he was very comfortable in the role.

I would have to answer yes to both of your questions.

That was why there was a media blackout.

HVT= High Value Target.

And, who’s beheading would get more coverage: Sgt. Joe Smith, or the person third in line for the throne of Great Britain?

THAT type of publicity would cause turmoil in England that would drive their economy into the ground.

Think of it in those terms.

Yes, every soldier is valuable. And they are all someone’s son or daughter. BUT, the potential damage caused by the deaths of one over the other is something that must be considered.

Theres a lot of talk about the “left wing liberal media bias”. I guess this shows conclusively what the media is really biased towards is a sensationalist, money spinning story - and NOTHING gets in the way of that.

More likely because they are short of soldiers...

Point one. Drudge SAYS eh?

Point two. 24 hours is plenty of time to get shot.

It’s all good. Drudge gets his scoop, Harry comes home a hero.

Exactly right...although I think the real publicity would be the backlash. There is still a lot of pro monarchist opinion in the UK. Executing Prince Harry would have the streets swimming in blood.

I was quoting someone else, as a matter of fact.

Of course, you are quite correct.

Yes but he doesnt want to come back a hero. He wants to do what hes trained to do, to do it in the usual six month deployment, and then come back. And now he cant do that.

Yes. To which I say so what? Drudge wanted to publish the story. Harry wanted to stay in Afghanistan. I really don’t think this is a big deal, since it’s just Harry’s career preference versus Drudge’s career preference. It’s not like it is about an operation that needs to be kept secret or a method. Harry isn’t important to the war effort. Just another guy.

By the way, I think Harry rocks. Too bad Charles, the cheating muslim loving twit, comes next and then William after that.

"One wonders whether viewers, readers and listeners will ever want to trust media bosses again," TV broadcaster Jon Snow wrote in his blog. "Or perhaps this was a courageous editorial decision to protect this fine young man?"

What do this so-called "journalists" have for breakfast each day, a large bowl of STUPID?

I was pointing out that this is not a “win-win” situation. Drudges career is one up, harrys is one down.

Actually of course, its a bit more complex than that. Judging by some of the comments flying around Drudge may have rather shot himself in the foot, and as you say, Harry gets to come home a hero, having done “the firm” quite a lot of good in the process.
