PRINCE HARRY FIGHTS ON FRONTLINES IN AFGHANISTAN; 3 MONTH TOUR Thu Feb 28 2008 11:01:34 ET

**World Exclusive**

They're calling him "Harry the Hero!"

British Royal Prince Harry has been fighting in Afghanistan since late December -- and has been directly involved in gun battle, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

The prince, a junior officer in the Blues and Royals, and third in line to the throne, has been a "magnificent soldier" and an "inspiration to all of Briton."

I don’t even know what an HVT is. If it’s something that makes some inbred “royal” better than anybody else, I don’t want to know, either.

Good grief - even worse than I suspicioned,

A HVT is High Value Target. That means his face would be pinned on the wall of every Taliban rat hole as the most valuable must get target - they would have have moved mountains to get him - preferably alive - and everyone around him would be fodder.

Maybe you need to set aside your obvious 'Royal envy" and do some reading?

I'm guessing, since you had no idea what a HVT is - that you haven't served in the battle field?

Sounds like maybe Prince Harry may be a helluva lot better than you???

According to the articles I read, Prince Williams would like to go as well, but since he's 2nd in line, was told no and that he is quite jealous of Henry. Don't be so quick to badmouth.

Harry said his older brother, William, who also graduated from Sandhurst and is training as a military pilot, is jealous of his deployment. As second in line for the throne, William is unlikely to ever see combat.

[Hey, Matt Drudge, Prince Harry’s life is more important than your damn news scoop! ]

I just now logged on for the first time today and saw that the news had broken about Prince Harry.
My sentiments are exactly what most are saying here. What a jerk Drudge is. I am really angry with him. Does he not know that he has endangered the life of Harry? Does he not even think about it? Drudge has criticized the NY Times for publishing information which could be helpful to our enemies in the war on terror and now he is doing something very similar.

BUT BECAUSE HE’S NEWS...it was bound to come out. The notion that the press would keep the secret is naive, and quite frankly, bizarre.

“The notion that the press would keep the secret is naive, and quite frankly, bizarre.”

Why so? Seems like the press had kept the secret perfectly well for the past two months.

I’m an American. I don’t consider any inbred royal better than me. Unfortunately, the mod deleted my last reply to you, so apparently some mods here consider inbred royals better than Americans.

Worked fine for nearly three months

I keep on hearing about how he will make those serving around him more at risk, but Brit soldiers couldn’t be at any more risk than they already are.

Not true, the British Army confirmed the story in a statement made AFTER the initial leak.

most of his time in afghanistan has been spent with units other than his own (Blues and Royals regiment). I assume to make it harder for the enemy to track him.

Scooped the entire UK media because the UK media agreed not to print the story in exchange for having interviews after the deployment was over. In other words, scooped the entire UK media by having no sense of responsibility and endangering lots of peoples lives. Yeah good on ya drudge. Well done.

I’m with you.

I have no respect for Drudge now. This should have NEVER been put on his site.

“Since when does Drudge answer to the Crown of England?”

The problem is that he doesn’t answer to anyone (except his financial advisor).
