Cutts had wept frequently during the court proceedings. He cried when he took the stand in his own defense in the trial when he described what had happened that day in June between him and Jessie. He cried again in the sentencing phase when he begged the jury to spare his life.
But Whitney Davis [Jessie's sister] noticed that in court Wednesday, after the jury had spared his life, there were no more tears from Cutts, despite the pain exhibited by her family. Cutts shed not a single tear during the sentencing and sat motionless through all of the Davis family's statements.
Worst fake crying ever and morons bought it - only second to Hillary’s pre-NH primary crying.
This is sickening. This guy is evil jerk and deserved the chair.
The problem was that you had Jessie Davis’ mother asking the court to spare his life so that his son (the one whom witnessed Cutts murder his mother and unborn sister) could once again hug him someday.
This guy desreved the death penalty. Indeed, he’s a poster child for it. Killing a pregnant woman is what made Charles Manson a national villian.
The only consolation is that 57 years in prison is no day at the park, especially for a former policeman.
The people of Ohio are pathetic. They’ll be paying for this monster’s imprisonment until he’s 87 years old.
He’d be getting the old needle treatment in Texas...though it would take 10-15 years of taxpayer-funded lawyers appeals before he’s get strapped to the gurney.
Yep - an ex-cop in prison for murdering his pregnant girlfriend. Hope they put him in with the general pop.
The mother asked for this? Huh. Maybe she feels that the boy needs to have the opportunity to forgive his dad or something.
Mind boggling.
On the other hand, ex-cops don’t often do well in prison. Let’s hope this is a 57-year long nightmare.
cna only hope this ex-cop does a real short term in prison....and some other death row lifer sees to it with a rusty homemade shiv!!!!!
Wow.
Put him in general population.
Ping me when he signs a book deal.
He’s a cop going too prison......wait for it !
His life is going to be short when he is in general population.
Life in prison "works" for me.
Had he been a serial killer I'd be "pulling" for the death penalty.
Dare I mention it? He will also have to deal with racial issues.
At least they found him guilty.
Lets not forget the worthless Texans who found that rich guy in Galveston innocent of a murder he clearly committed.
Not just a former policeman, but a guy who murdered not only his girlfriend but his baby, too. He ain’t gonna be real safe in the joint and I don’t think any palm reader will find a long “life line” showing up in their readings for him. He would probably live longer if he’d gotten a death sentence.
