Ten years ago (three years before 911) CIA officials told the Associated Press that Iraq was developing unmanned planes to deliver both chemical weapons and anthrax. As you remember, the 911 hijackers were interested in crop dusters. And then coincidentally there was the anthrax letters case which was never solved.

Good post! This is THE point. I don’t care how cushy your life is, if they come over here and use some kind of chemical or biological agent, we are going to be in deep, deep doo-doo.

I had lunch with a friend yesterday - I told her I could not vote for Obama or Clinton - she says to me, “don’t you care about the economy?” and I explained to her that I could have the best job, the nicest house, car and so on, but if I’m dying of some hideous disease because they decided to come over and poison the Great Lakes, who gives a hoot?

Incidentally, I was at a Homeland Security meeting for chemical plants and it was very interesting. They are mostly consolidated in certain geographic areas of the country.

Finally, I still would like to hear exactly what happened in Florida the other day with the electrical outage - seems to be a big mystery.

After hitting the post button I wished I hadn’t mentioned the 911 thing because it is distracting from the article. My point is that it was widely reported during the 1990’s that Iraq had an anthrax program. Our servicemen were even inoculated against that threat in December 1997.
