Neener, neener, neener. : ^ )
I hear you brother. We have a slight break in snow.. more on map I see (Lake effect, which you all too well know Rus). The area I shoveled this morning is completely covered. Temps in 20s with winds pushing the WC to below zero..
it is pretty however.
We have another 6 inches since I took those pix /posted this AM. I am not going to Bible study. Friend would pick me up but I think it is silly to go to NON Essential things in crappy weather.. I just looked thru the pix at JimmyJs (or what was it called in Buffalo?).. I feel badly I did not have a good enough camera at that time to get a good group shot of us all..
Let me know Rus if you ever will try for a get together again. I know it is almost a losing battle. Maybe in the early summer an outing at one of the parks on the island.. potluck etc. Maybe I can bring some others.. (Dr.Deb, ohioWfan, lasvegas dave; wheelbarrow; molly pitcher; boxer blues) from our area for a joint shin dig. And then spring 09 the Texas terrors of luv & NYTexan.. --how sweet it is.
Okay, BB!!
Now we’ve been called “terrorists”.....I think....
Is that worse than being a TARD? LOL!
I hope that visit can happen. It will if NYT doesn’t mind
having me (or me and hubby) invade his home...again! :D
Last year I paid three times (25each) to have the drive plowed.. problem is that I did appreciate the plow but the rocks from the aprong were all over the grass (and I mean A LOT) and my border rocks & driftwood were destroyed & much of the side grass torn up.
so I am just going to “make do” this year. I am parked 10 feet from the road, nose out, so I can clear the smaller area slowly & have a path out. there is a huge pile up at the street from the plow.. (maybe 3 feet high) and the rest is about a foot or more. As the apron is under some massive blue spruce there is a bit less snow there. The rest of the drive has about 15 -18 inches with drifts thigh high on me
jaycee I just “did” my computer with a program from office max. 99 dollars & essentially you turn your computer over to them & they remotely clean all up & install security/spyware & virus programs.
Do you need some help with some graphics you would like to post? Let me know
That was Texas TERRORS, not terrorists!
Should we get another invite to Maine, you and hubby are always welcome at my place.
And no worries lil’ sis....you’ll always be a TARD to me!
Oh, TERRORS!!!....nevermind.....
Thanks.....I think....
WAITACOTTENPICKIN’MINUTE!!!
I think I was just insulted! LOL!
Thanks for your very kind hospitality! I hope we get another
invite. The first one was sooo fun!
smooch..
terrors is a good word
terrorists is a bad word
you are a good word

I would love for all to get together again. But we can only try, last time I tried to get the group of Buffalo Freepers together we had no luck.
We can try again, arrange a cookout, set a date months ahead of time and ping everyone to the thread. Plus freepmail everyone.
LOL
Hi, Dolly!
Thanks Dolly, it is alright for the moment. Sometimes when I go to a lot of sights, etc. seems like something happens to my computer.....I re-boot a couple of times and its okay. I also do a spy sweep to try to vacuum it for the moment.
I read where you did that the other day and it does sound interesting. Does that program have a name that you used?
I sure loved your snow pictures....your house reminds me of mine except mine is brick. Would love to have a snow like that one more time. Just as long as I don’t have to go out! Your dogs are so precious.....I remember my dogs loved snow so much and would have those ‘ice balls’ all over them when they came in. We would lay them in the floor and get a big towel and rub and play with them to get that ice off of them....and they would feel so good~
IIt is only available thru Office Max - called Fix It Service - PC Restoration. 99 dollars
I also reinstalled ad aware (free) to supplement.
This is mom’s home. It is cedar siding that is stained. There is some brick.. a tan colored with “bread & butter” mortar.
When the dogs are out for long periods & near water (which of course they go in year round) they will have the icicles hanging from their bodies..Toby the golden with longer fur has ice balls, icicles etc all over her body & paws.. Both dogs frequently stop & bite off the ice off their paws as I am sure it hurts to run on.
Just checked the computer again...thought you would be interested in the last two dogs I had.
Have you dealt with Shelties? The first was sable and white with tiny touches of black. Sweetest thing in the world...we loved her so but of course they do die and ours did. You will be surprised to know her name was Dolly. Because she was just such a doll when a pup. A while after her death, we wanted another one and got a black and white Sheltie. Another precious dog...Her name was Cagney...She lived 11 years and when she died not too long before my husband, we cried for days and days. Didn’t know if we would ever recover and since then, I haven’t had another as it just hurts too bad when they go.
But during our lifetime, we have had lots of dogs, cats, parakeets, rabbits, ducks, gerbils, fish, turtles. When you raise two boys, we probably had pets we didn’t know about! ~~LOL~~ Nite Dolly, see ya tomorrow!

Snowstorms break records in New England
Has some great pics and graphics..
Several years ago while having lunch with a friend, a white man called me boy. Shock gave way to anger and hurt. My friend even shed tears. Why? The term boy was an insulting label used of black men in the US during slavery, an attempt to steal their identity by demoting them to less than men. As that ugly word recklessly barreled its way through my soul, I wanted to respond with an equally unkind name. But some ancient words from our Master about murder and anger changed my mind.
As Jesus was teaching His followers, He quoted the sixth commandmentYou shall not murderand the penalty for breaking it (Matt. 5:21). Then He gave a fuller interpretation. Taking someones life was not limited to physical murder; you could show contempt for someone through name-calling and be just as guilty. In Jewish culture, to call someone Raca or Fool (v.22) was the equivalent of calling someone empty-headed or an idiot. It was used to demean and demote another. What makes name-calling so damaging is that it insults the God who created that person in His image!
Jesus taught His followers that the weight of our neighbors glory is a burden we carry daily. If we follow His teaching, we wont be guilty of identity theft.
