No less an authority figure than Karl Rove has warned Republican operatives from demagoguing Barack Obama's middle name.
At a closed door meeting of GOP state executive directors in late January, Rove said the safest way to refer to Obama would be to use his honorific, "Sen. Obama."
"The context was, you're not going to stimatize this guy. You shouldn't underestimate him," one of the executive directors said. Rove said that the use of "Barack Hussein Obama" would perpetuate the notion that Republicans were bigoted and would hurt the party.
Rove also said that Republicans should refer to Hillary Clinton as "Sen. Clinton," rather than "Hillary."
Right wing figures are set to ignore Rove's advice. Rush Limbaugh used Obama's middle name more than a year ago, and Ann Coulter regularly uses the middle name, once calling him "President Hussein." So does Michael Savage, who once asked whether Obama was a "so-called friendly Muslim" or one more "radical."

"First off, Rodham is not Hilary's middle name. I don't even know what it is."
According to Wiki it's Diane.
I am more bothered that it is a stupid and ineffective way to sway people. It reminds me of the DUmmies that get off on emphasizing "Dick" when speaking of Cheney. Or the ones that equate Bush to pubic hair or call Ann Coulter "Mann Coulter". They seem to have a lot of fun with that sort of talk, just as a lot of folks around here have fun emphasizing HUSSEIN or calling Hillary "Hitlery". That is fine by me, have your fun. But neither side is scoring any points with this sort of nonsense. That is all I am saying. If it gives you some pleasure and satisfaction to say it, knock yourself out. But let's not pretend that his middle name is some potent weapon within our arsenal that will grow in strength every time we use it. The people it matters to already know, and to everyone else it is just more name calling.
{{ We cannot have someone like that slip by into the oval office simply because people were worried about offending these bastards.
Now, caution is well-advised; but all angles of tactical and strategic attack on him must be explored. When we hit on a few good ones, let’s press them; but let’s don’t reject tactics out of hand simply because they seem politically incorrect }}
Hear! Hear! Perhaps the wisest posting I’ve read on this thread.
Hussein must be defeated. And - the same as in the War with Islam - we must be prepared to do WHATEVER it takes to win, to take ANY measure, if by that measure it becomes the only way to victory.
To refuse to do this, citing “principles” or high-mindedness, is an invitation to defeat.
If Hussein can be beaten by taking only the high road, fine.
If Hussein can be beaten by taking the middle road, well, ok, too.
But it the only way to beat Hussein is by taking the low road, we must be willing to travel that way.
We must be willing to do and say that which is politically incorrect, with the full understanding that ANYTHING we do or say against Obama will be probably be called such, perhaps even “racist”. No matter. We’d better learn to ignore that epithet as the duck’s back ignores water.
I state unequivocally that I am willing to do that, if that’s what victory over him requires.

So now, 'telling the truth' is "HUSSEINING"?
Wow, are we making progress or what? /s
That's the beauty of it. In the big leagues, there's no such thing as a black communist. Just communist, period. All communists must lose, if I have any say. And, last I checked, I do.
Call him Barry. He’s really a jolly fellow. Hussein is more of an Arabic name than a religious name so the controversy is about nothing. I hope he does well and gets the nomination, but I suspect his campaign will fade substantially this fall there being nothing but hot air supporting it.
Mmmm, he dropped it pretty fast as I remember.
We would not have lost the mid-terms, if the President and the Republican party in general had taken a hard line on illegal immigration. Overspending didn’t help, either.
Couldn’t agree more... I remember slam books, too!!

Using Obama’s middle name is just sophomoric ... as much so as the Dems in VA insisting on referring to George Felix Allen. Stupid no matter who’s doing it.
There’s plenty to attack Obama on .. if we have to stoop to using his middle name we are in sorrier shape than I’d thought. And as pathetic as Hillary! using his African native costume picture.
* Wants to downsize the military (radical)
* Open borders and amnesty (radical)
* Wants to raise taxes and kill off capitalism (radical)
* Wants to eliminate Bush tax cuts (radical)
* Wants to destroy our health care system (radical)
* Wants to introduce more socialist spending (radical)
* Wants to end school choice (radical)
* Does not salute the flag (radical)
MUSLIMS, DEMOCRATS AND LIBERALS EVERYWHERE RESPOND TO "CHANGE" LIKE THAT:
What the hell else can I mistake it for. I don’t recall you getting the vapors over William Jefferson Clinton, but since a brother has the middle name of Hussein, now its just too stupid to use it because its mooooooooooslim.
There is no way I will stop calling him B. Hussein Obama or Hillary...Hillary.
I agree with all you said.
Except George Felix Macaca Allen got beat like a bongo drum.
You hit the nail on the head!!!! Well said and a huge thank you.
Thank you so much for that link. And I LOVE your tag line!
Thank you this is great, I agree, and there is NO way I will stop. This is America not some kind of communist country where they control our speech, well considering all the PC running rampant but still, we do have some freedom of speech left and how dare anyone ask us to give in even more. I am so sick of this BS from rino’s and the left.
