The Honorable John McCain
John McCain 2008
P.O. Box 16118
Arlington, VA, 22215
Dear Senator McCain:
It's been my pleasure sharing the stage with you this past year, as we have worked to promote our ideas to lead this county. I have the deepest respect for you as a person, politician, and an American hero – and I appreciate the way you have run such an issue-based, positive campaign.
Now that the race for the Republican nomination is down to just the two of us, I believe this is the time for a real discussion about our vision for the future of this great country. I encourage you to join me in a Lincoln Douglas-style debate so that voters can better understand our views on critical issues such as health care, education, energy independence, terrorism and national security.
Our Democratic counterparts, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, have had recent opportunities to underscore the differences in their positions. It seems only fitting to me that Republican primary voters are offered the same.
I look forward to working with your staff to schedule this as soon as possible. I would suggest we set the debate before the March Fourth Primaries. It is my hope that one of the TV networks would offer to sponsor such an event.
Senator, let's lead by example and get the ball rolling. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this idea and debating you in front of the American people
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee
Former Governor of Arkansas (1996-2007)

Maybe he should start actually running a campaign by critizing and pointing out McCain’s weaknesses and where they differ. He really doesn’t give anyone any reason to vote for him over McCain. A debate would be a total joke.

One of my friends went to a Town Hall meeting in Ohio, and McCain said that he would deport the 2 million “criminal” illegal aliens, so that means the other 10 - 18 million get amnesty. McCain is coming right out and admitting this.
IF McCain gets the nomination too easily, he will consider it a mandate to do whatever he pleases, including picking a RINO VP, like RINO Gov. Charlie Crist (who I heard is on his short list).
That’s why I say, Vote for Huckabee in the PRIMARIES.

Well to be fair, they both agree on unlimited illegal immigration and status-quo economics.

IMO, McCain needs alittle shaking up. He’s too comfortable with his c0ckitude and protection of the Socialists.

What a self-obsessed jerk.
He is playing games and soaking up media attention while Obama is gaining momentum everyday.
Huckabee needs to write a letter to McCain asking HIM not what McCain can do to get Huckabee's face on the TV one more time, but rather what Huckabee can do to help defeat the Democrats.

Well to be fair, they both agree on unlimited illegal immigration and status-quo economics. Those are ludicrous lies, of course.
Unless Sen. Jeff Sessions' 15 point criteria "agree on unlimited illegal immigration..."
...unless you believe that the Fair Tax and the Constitutionally proscribed, expressed and implied looking out for the Sovereign American people in our foreign trade agreements is "status-quo economics."

Have you watched all the Republican Debates this campaign?
Huckabee said we should not "punish" young illegal aliens by deporting them. He said we should use tax payer money to send them to college at IN STATE tuition rates.
Do you get that? He wants to treat Illegal aliens better than my kids.

What a self-obsessed jerk, that Ronald Reagan. He is playing games and soaking up media attention while Carter is gaining momentum everyday. Reagan needs to write a letter to Ford asking HIM not what Ford can do to get Reagan's face on the TV one more time, but rather what Reagan can do to help defeat the Democrats.

Yes, in fact Mike Huckabee wants to grind up your kids and use them for producing Soylent Green, to feed to illegal aliens! 8-o
He was describing his favoring as governor, for citizen-bound children in Arkansas who met the stringent criteria that Arkansas students must pass, the same kind of aid that they did. Like it or not, it is water under the dam and did not pass.

More Huckster snake oil
Why didn't the Huckster include Ron Paul in the invitation? He is still in the race and has as much chance as Huck as being the nominee.

I did hold my nose and vote for the Huckster in the Md. primary to no avail. Of course McCain will take a lib for VP. He probably would want Hillary because his campaign will be ALL about getting her disaffected voters if she loses to Obama. In a season all full of “hope,” McCain is hopeless. As for us, we need to help the NY Times find a smoking gun so delegates to the convention can reconsider his fitness to serve as prez. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Anyone seen McCain hanging out with a mysterious blond lately?
