Two men on the "national terrorist watch list" have been turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) following a routine traffic stop, according to Patagonia Police Chief Ed Dobbertin.
Dobbertin said that on Feb. 12, between 9-9:30 a.m., he was patrolling State Route 82 near milepost 28 when he pulled over a car for a traffic violation.
"There were just indicators that something wasn't right with the vehicle," said Dobbertin. "We searched. My dog indicated that there was the presence of narcotic odor in the vehicle," he added.
Dobbertin said he then called Border Patrol to assist. "They (the driver and passenger) were transported back when we found out that they were on the national terrorist watch list, and the investigation was turned over to Border Patrol and FBI," said Dobbertin. He added that the men were of Middle Eastern descent and had been residing in Sierra Vista. "They were on the list because apparently they were non-U.S. citizens going to Nogales to basically bond out an individual - their associate - who was also a non-U.S. citizen that had been stopped the night before by Customs and Border Protection agents for entering the United States illegally," said Dobbertin.
The Border Patrol did not return numerous calls by press time.
Water board them till they tell us where the rest of their associates are.
Makes one wonder how many haven’t been caught!
I remember when several of us worried that terrorists would cross the open southern border and so many could not even imagine that such a thing was likely to ever happen. One freeper (if I could remember which one I would gladly ping him to this thread) that lived far from this border stated that terrorists would never enter through this border, it was airports and the Canadian border that they would enter through. According to that freeper and many others the illegal activity on this border had nothing to do with the security of the U.S. or the war.
I have no idea why it wasn’t/isn’t obvious to everyone that it would be very likely that terrorists would enter the southern border simply because it would be easier for them to blend in with the normal illegal traffic and they would more likely be able to slip in un-noticed.
“the land of the free and the home of the brave”, and those other guys.
Thanks for the ping.
Two caught,l hundreds made it through.

Uh......what's wrong with this picture?
A day earlier, in Milwaukee, in front of an audience of more sympathetic businessmen, McCain had been asked how debate over the immigration bill was playing politically. In the short term, it probably galvanizes our base, he said. In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics, youll pay a heavy price. Then he added, unable to help himself,By the way, I think the fence is least effective. But Ill build the goddamned fence if they want it.- John Sydney McCain
Yeah, he's all about national security and sovereignty...Our national security is being sold at the ballot box.
Sounds like they may be doing their jobs better than some of the other border states, doesn’t it?
I hope. It just seems like a lot are showing up in your state.
Makes ya’ wonder how many got in...:0/
Well, they wouldn’t know, as they don’t even know how many illegals are getting in at all.
And these are “only” two that got caught that day, out of an estimated 365 who come in each month.
So.......the odds of two terrorists coming in through our borders on ONE day and getting caught, out of an estimated 365 per month....show that there are more likely than JUST TWO terrorists who come in through our borders each and every month.
>>Geraldo would say that you are a member of the KKK for thinking that LOL<<
Geraldo was on Laura Ingraham a couple of days ago saying no terrorists had ever crossed the US-Mex border. I guess he really believes that.
