Obama slammed by speakers at McCain rally ( McCain repudiates the Speakers...???)

McCain says he will 'absolutely repudiate' comments by an introductory speaker who says Obama sympathizes with 'world leaders who want to kill us.'

CINCINNATI -- In a possible foreshadowing of a potentially bruising general election campaign, a speaker who introduced presidential candidate John McCain at a rally here today accused Barack Obama of sympathizing with "world leaders who want to kill us" and invoked Obama's middle name -- three times calling him "Barack Hussein Obama."

Local conservative radio talk show host Bill Cunningham described Obama as "a hack Chicago Daley-style politician who is picturing himself as change. When he gets done with you -- all you're going to have in your pocket is change," he said.

McCain quickly distanced himself from the remarks, which he did not hear, saying that using Obama's middle name in repetition like that was inappropriate. "I absolutely repudiate such comments and again, I will take responsibility," he said, calling the use of Obama's middle name inappropriate. "It will never happen again. It will never happen again."

Cunningham, warming up a crowd of about 400 people in the ornate green and gold Hamilton County Memorial Hall before McCain's arrival, accused the "stooges from the New York Times" and "sycophants in the media" of conspiring to elect Obama.

I respectfully disagree.

We will be just fine if we lose in ‘08. We will survive and recover even stronger than before. Carter gave is Reagan, and America saw what Conservatism could do for the country.

This knee jerking and gut wrenching will only get the user, Ulcers and the need for Prozac. Relax, and be smarter than the stupid Leftists. We can take advantage of this in ways we all have been dreaming of.

If McCain wins, then we get the blame, (Conservatives) for letting it happen both ways. The Terrible economy and International turmoil to come will make the current times look like an afternoon party at Chucky Cheese’s. So, let’s make sure the Democrats take the blame while we plan on taking it back with a fresh supply of ammo.

This is a riot. McLame uses profanity against Republicans in Congress, yet he won’t let anyone speak the truth about Obama and Clinton? Hypocrite! Yet another reason not to vote for the jerk.

Based on your response, you obviously don’t know anyone in the active-duty military. Four years of Liberals and/or RINO’s destroying our military and jeopardizing our security will do all of us great harm along with destroying our economy and our freedoms. We have Islamic wackjobs bent on destroying us along with Liberal and RINO wackjob politicians in DC who are also destroying this country. We’re in the toilet bowl and the water is circling the bowl and we’re about to be flushed!

LOL--of course McCain repudiated some speakers for reminding the public of Obama's strong personal loyalties to Islam--those speakers were probably conservatives, and McCain can't stop himself from stabbing the Republican base in the back.

Yeah, Rove, we're supposed to get out there and stuff those envelopes and knock on the doors for a candidate who holds us in the deepest contempt. Ain't gonna happen.

"About time ho-hum McCain had a little spice in his ho-hum campaign. That said, I’ll vote for him."

What spice are you talking about? Radio host Bill Cunningham makes truthful comments about Obama and Clinton, and McCain basically apologizes for it. McCain yells profanities at his fellow Republicans in Congress, but he won't let anyone say anything "bad" about Obama & Clinton? What kind of crap is that?

re: We aren’t supposed to know that Obama’s daddy was a Muslim and that he went to Islamic schools. It is a secret, shh!)))

And that Obama isn't even half-black, because his gramma was an Arab?

That he was taken to mosque by his stepdad in Indonesia?

That his dad had several wives at one time, accding to Sharia law, and that even today Obama's many Muslim siblings are still fighting over the tangled estate?

"McPain needs to hire Bob Dole to stir up the crowds!"

Why pick a Republican. He should just go with a fellow Democrat like Chevy Chase.

" To stoop to such tactics will only work against him. There is a difference between tough politics and gutter politics."

But he has no problem yelling profanities at Republican Senators. The guy's a hypocrite.

Driving me nuts. Cunningham was right on the money, if anything McCain should have let it go. I am voting for him holding my nose, but this guy is trying to drive me away.

It's been a long and unpleasant process for me in realizing that, as much as I dislike the man and absolutely loathe his legislative work (Kennedy, Feingold, Lieberman), he is better than Obama or Hillary...barely. I realize that I should probably vote for him. I don't think I'm going to be classified as part of the "energized base".

But when McCain says things like this, he's driving me away too. Is he going to 'nice guy' his way through the general election like BobDole did against Hillary's spousal unit? How'd that work out for BobDole? McCain has not changed...he still craves the approval of the left and will throw his own supporters under the bus if it will get him a kudo from some liberal rag.

Yes, emphasizing the Hussein thing is probably not smart, but McCain could have, as posted elsewhere on this thread, found a way to distance himself from the remarks without a)looking like a wimp and b) hacking off supporters.

In any event, if McCain gets his clock cleaned in November, he will blame it all on conservatives and not on his 'friend', President Obama. And then 'the maverick' will become an Independent...to kudos from liberal rags!

"Now it’s politically incorrect to use a person’s middle name?"

Jeez, I guess they'll now have to stop using the middle names of psychos and serial killers too.

Using Hussein reminds people of his Islamic ties that need to be thoroughly investigated given that we are at war with Isamic terrorists. If he has no connections, fine, lets move on, but it needs looking into.

"Come on people. Let’s attack his ideas, not the name"

I'm just wondering when he takes the oath of office if he'll say: "I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear..."

Why don’t you thank GHWB for that. “Read my lips. No new taxes!” “New World Order.” Quits the NRA and publicly condemns them.

I think McCain will be fondly remembered. He’s the kind of Republican many historians and media types really like. He gets along with Dems and is uncomfortable around any strong conservatives— especially if they are “fire-brand” conservatives. He’s very comfortable in accepting a minority role for Republicans in Congress. He represents the pre-Newt Gingrich Republicans. In other words, he’s the way Republicans should be, according to the “intellectual elite”. Yep, he may be fondly remembered—especially if he loses in November and takes a lot of Republicans down with him.

McCain was just the “2AM Friday night last call option” at the local bar....Now it’s Saturday night and the collective has chewed off their arm, sobered up a little, drank some more, drank some more, and it’s 12AM and Obama be lookin’ mighty good.....come Monday morning, we’ll all be wondering what the hell happened....(in case you’re wondering, where it went wrong was on Friday afternoon (ala the primaries, the pragmatic, wise ‘collective’ of the Publicans ‘settled’ for McQ)
