Clinton and the press [UPDATED]
Clinton's communications director, Howard Wolfson, delivered some really heated criticism of the press on a conference call just now.
Halperin has audio, and here's a transcript.
I think it is true that every time the Obama campaign in this campaign has attacked Senator Clinton in the worst kind of personal ways, attacked her veracity, attacked her credibility, said that she would say or do anything to get elected, the press has largely applauded him. When we have attempted to make contrasts with Senator Obama, we have been criticized for it.
That is a fact of life that we labor under.
And so I reject the notion that Senator Clinton has been engaged in this sort of seriatim attacks on Senator Obama. I think Senator Obama's entire campaign against Senator Clinton is negative. I think he has run against her as the status quo. He has essentially called her divisive. He has called her untruthful. He has quesitoned her credibility. He has said she will do or say anything to get elected. If that's not negative, I don't know what is.
And Bill, does he just have a cloth coat?
I second that emotion. I can't stand it. Her shoulders shrugging up and down, the head bobbing and swinging and the fingers of both hands jabbing at the audience and that fish mouth always going on and on.
I've timed her on my tivo, she takes longer to say nothing than even Obama.
What's even worse, imo, is her glaring icy stare directed towards Obama as he is speaking during the debates. She is so arrogantly condescending.
Ditto!! Well stated. Although, I do like cats.
Did Obama really say that? If he did, one would wonder how he would have time to read about Hillary on FR. - I don’t want to see Obama elected President; however, I also distrust Hillary enough to think she would stop at nothing to beat McCain should she get the nomination.
Put some ice on it. I guess it’s Hillary’s turn to ask, “Where’s the outrage?” I just hope she stays in the race for as long as possible - help maximize the fractures.
...but while you're there, bake some cookies!
no more clinton, no more clinton no more clinton.....
Repeat this 50 times... ;-)
~The VRWC will always be on the prowl~
This picture is priceless.
Now that the Clinton plastic veneer of "invincibility" has been stripped away, I expect they might encounter legal difficulties and other problems in their lives without carte blanch protection.
Perhaps that is what they really fear after all.
That can't be a real quote. Why did you make that up?
I have posted this before, but I will again.
Yes, Hillary is the type of person who gives professional women fits - because she claims to speak for all women (which is ludicrous).
When I worked at the Pentagon, there was a certain woman who was just awful. She was a GM-15, which is pretty high ranking for a civilian, even there.
She was a backstabber, envious, a liar, and would try and destroy anyone who got in her way.
People were in fear of her, and the male Generals and the Senior Executive Service (SES) civilians were too timid to do anything about her.
We got a new female Colonel Air Force officer who was no slouch herself. It took her about a week, but she had had enough of this woman. She told her, in no uncertain terms in a very public setting, that she had crossed a line and she better not do it again - ever.
The GM-15 had a cow. She couldn't believe it. She started to try and line up allies to defend her, but there were very few.
Her downfall was just like Hillary's, in that the blame game started. It was bloody before it ended, but it ended.
Mr Wolfson failed to mention that all the Charges reported by Obama are true
.....Why did you make that up?.....
Because the single best source for Clinton opposition research is FRee Republic.
Not me I’m sick of the Clintons, totally sick of them and cannot wait until they are BOTH gone.
The one and only thing I’ve been able to enjoy in this election cycle is seeing Obama beat the Witch and seeing the formerly Clinton-worshipping MSM turn on her and Bill! Watching her shreik at Obama in her rustly brillo pad on a chalkboard voice the other day was hilarious. Its a shame that no Republican was able to do this to the Witch, but maybe its better that a fellow Dem take on and beat the Clinton machine. To see the look of pure contempt she has for Obama and then see him beat her again and again is fun to watch. Maybe the only comfort conservatives can take from 2008 is seeing the end of the Clinton machine once and for all.
I feel your pain!
I see Hillary as the same, bullying, angry, backstabbing, incompetent, blaming, arrogant know it all busy body snob.
Thanks for your remarks. Sure would like to see more of the caliber of the female Air Force Colonel running for office rather than the cheated on wife of an impeached ex-president.
The Clinton campaign throws another pity party ... anyone else smell flop sweat?
I ALMOST added that at the end. :) That was funny.
