Islamic Links on Obama Web Site Stir Criticism
By Fred Lucas
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
February 25, 2008

CNSNews.com) - A page for Muslim supporters of Sen. Barack Obama — hosted on Obama’s presidential campaign Web site — promotes events sponsored by controversial Islamic groups.

Muslim Americans for Obama ‘08, found on Obama’s main campaign site, allows users to create their own page through a “My Obama” option. The Muslim Americans for Obama page also links to a Web site that features lectures by people who have expressed radical Islamic views in the past.

A portion of the Muslim Americans for Obama page lists proposals to establish a Muslim American advisory group on U.S. foreign policy; provide prayer areas in public places such as malls, airports, universities and government buildings; institute a law to allow Muslim employees to take time from their work day for prayer; and institute a law against harassment of Muslim women in public areas.

The Obama campaign’s press office did not respond to numerous phone calls and e-mail messages from Cybercast News Service on this matter.

Throughout the campaign, Obama has professed his Christian faith, although his father is a Muslim.

I needed a freakin' violin to read this.

I am not impressed with her "struggles". Talk about two pampered "victims".

Notice that this was printed in the UK, not here.

"...never forget that this is also the little black girl from Chicago who overcame the odds to change the face of American politics."

...And you still wouldn't know who the heck she is unless her husband was running for President.

I did notice. Someone was saying things printed in the UK are prelude to things being printed here. We’ll see.

Most of the negative stuff we see doesn’t make it to the average voter.

Yes, that’s where the screen name comes from. Lived in Toms River, NJ for many years. About two years ago I relocated to Southern Delaware.

At the Sussex County Airport in Gerogetown, DE, they have a B-25J that is based here, called “Panchito”—its oriignal name. They still take people up in it—it’s all restored, and the owners bring it to various airshows. Built in 1944. A ride in her costs about $ 400.00—aviation fuel isn’t cheap, as you know.

When she flies overhead, the distinctive sound of her twin engines makes heads turn. Very few B-25’s are in flying condition anymore.

He scares me more than Hillary. If he gets in, becoming a Muslim will become mandatory...IMHO, of course (smile).

When I started to work at the university, IBM Selectrics were all the rage. It was a wonderful machine. We copied articles on a machine that made purple ink copies. My fingers were always a mess, and we had to collate by hand. What a lot of work. But even with the copier and all the computers, I was still just as busy, perhaps more. I really loved being a secretary but it was intense at times. Having to type things over again was a pain but I was still good at it and didn’t have to type over much. We did have liquid paper but even that didn’t look very nice. Ah, good memories.

Yeah . . . . all these youngsters have no IDEA what it was like!

I remember when we got the very first IBM Correctible Selectric. What fun! You could back up (as long as you hadn't hit the return key) and strike over with correcting tape. What progress!

Then we got the IBM that was as big as a steamer trunk but would put a whole line of text on a little screen to be corrected before you hit "return". THAT was real progress!

Ah, dear dead days beyond recall . . . .

I had one of those steamer trunk IBM’s before we got the tiny little IBM computers that used Word Perfect. I also had a correctible one. The university gave us the best equipment available at the time. Now they’re back to furnishing PC users with IBM computers! It was a great place to work and I loved doing what I did.

Oh, I'm not complaining. I was having a ball!

It's just funny to think what we got along with, not knowing any better. Typing uphill in the snow . . . both ways! < g >

Boo Freaking Hoo!
I felt like an outsider in college as well.
I am a Southern “country girl” and attended an art school during the early 80’s when the “punk rock” fad was in full swing. People called me “country!”
Wahhhhhh!
People made fun of my accent!
Waahhhhh!
Give me a BREAK!

I’m so sick of this “racism victim” mentality.
She needs to be positive and enthusiastic and letting kids know they CAN become ANYTHING in this country.

Michelle Obama is a bigger phony than Hillary Clinton.

BTW “Raisin in the Sun” is being broadcast this week on TV. Coincidence? I think not. Michelle O. would have us believe she came up the hard way like the main female character in this play. NO WAY!

Her problem is that she did not consider herself as a victim of anything while growing up in her upper middle class neighborhood. She could not adjust to the fact that the nincompoop elite at Princeton did not accept her in their clicks. She has big self esteem problems!

Glad you recognized you were better than the "punk rock" crowd!

Oh and I have hugged both of my Irish Setters today! Even thought they have hair and not fur.
