Gov. Rick Perry is strongly urging Mike Huckabee to drop his Republican presidential bid.
Mr. Perry told a Washington, D.C., TV station last week, "It's over for the Republican nomination. And I respect Mike, but it's time for us as a party to get behind Senator [John] McCain," who has an overwhelming delegate lead and is close to securing the GOP nod.
Mr. Perry has called Mr. Huckabee urging that he drop out of the race, but the comments are the first time he has done so publicly. Mr. Huckabee has expressed confidence that he can win Texas' March 4 primary and still compete for the nomination.
Mr. Huckabee, noting Mr. Perry initially supported Rudy Giuliani in the Republican contest before backing Mr. McCain, said Saturday, "Rick has made his second choice already in the race, and it is sad that he doesn't seem to want the Republicans in Texas to even get to make one choice."
“Texas is winner take all delegates and may Huckabee win and take them all away from McCain and the party insiders.”
NO, its not.
Texas is only WTA if a candidate gets 50+%.
If a candidate does not get that, then it is proportional.
Is Texas responsible for the border fence along its southern border? Can it even do so?

I’m not a Huckabee supporter but that was a damn good answer.
Then let Huckabee win all the delegates.
Vote Huck in Texas on March 4th.

You’re right about our “beloved” Guv “Rick “Goodhair” Perry AKA “The 39% Wonder”. I hope the Huckster tells him to stick it where the sun don’t shine!
Good Hair is a pandering fool, just like his buddy Juan.

“If that photo is intended to inspire anything other than disgust for the subjects, it has FAILED!”
How could you possibly know that?
Texas wasn’t winner-take-all, but that was still a great post.
“Am I the only one who thinks our choices on both sides of tha aisle are really lousy?”
No. Especially not now.
Well at least he didn't go up to Huckabee and say to him, "Adios, Mofo!"
Rick was a democrat until about 8 years ago.
The MSM buried any chance of any Texan running for executive '08 by broiing W for years.
Perry also tied himself to Guiliani's campaign early on.
He has the perfect wife for First Lady, but he has the perfect storm against him vis-a-vis those infected with BDS.
And he's an ill-tempered guy, with no vision, just a hack.
