CINCINNATI -- Today, Hillary Clinton aggressively went after Barack Obama, criticizing him for playing similar political games to Karl Rove and at one point saying, "Shame on you, Barack Obama."
Speaking to reporters following a rally at a community college here, Clinton slammed Obama and his campaign for distributing mailings to Ohio voters attacking Clintons universal health care plan and her position on NAFTA.
Today in the crowd I was given two mailings that Senator Obamas campaign is sending and I have to express my deep disappointment that he is continuing to send false and discredited mailings with information that is not true to the voters of Ohio. He says one thing in speeches and then he turns around does this, Clinton said waiving the two mailings at the cameras.
Just because Senator Obama chose not to present a universal health care plan does not give him the right to attack me because I did. So lets have a real campaign. Enough with the speeches and the big rallies and then using tactics that are right out of Karl Rove's playbook, this is wrong and every Democrat should be outraged.
Clintons tough tone and sharp words are a stark difference from her tone and appearance on a debate in Austin, Texas two days ago.
When asked about her new tone Clinton skirted the question going back to the mailings and attacking the Obama campaign for funding them.
This election is about misleading, false and discredited attacks that interfere with voters being able to make an informed judgment, she said.
I am not going to stand here and see this campaign polluted by the kind of misleading, discredited and false attacks. We deserve better than that. Hes been called out on it, he has been contradicted on it, he knows better and here it is Paid for by the Obama for America Campaign.
So, shame on you Barack Obama. It is time you ran a campaign consistent with your messages in public, thats what I expect from you. Meet me in Ohio and lets have a debate about your tactics and your behavior in this campaign.
The Shameless One herself saying this redefines pot-calling-kettle-black.
That’s the way I read it, too. Woman scorned, ex-wife, all that.
The thing I don’t like is when she gets all excited with some stemwinder speech and goes into that loud droning monotone with the hectoring accent and the flailing arms. Yech!
When I picture how Hillary would "accept" defeat, I think of the climactic scenes of The Wild Bunch and Scarface.
WOW! She is not only b!tching like only America's Ex-Wife could, but her jealously of Obama's turnouts compared to hers is on display like a "bill"-board.
The public are speaking on both sides that they are tired of the Politics of Personal Destruction. Say what you may about Black Oblack, he doesn’t attack personally.
Pray for W and Our Troops
She’s going to go down ugly.
Sorry about the image...
Gotta be a great souvenir.
I actually want Hillary to win the nomination, just because it’s truly not fair that the MSM keeps pushing Obama, without questioning him on ANYTHING. Our country (many of whom are clueless) are ignorant of his positions and are just supporting him for his “charisma” and untested platform of hope and change.
Of course I want the Republican to win the general election, but it scares me to think Obama may be the nominee. Even these dopes who support him now may be surprised at how liberal he will be if he’s elected POTUS.
At least with Hillary, we know what we’d be getting, and can prepare for it. Obama is an unknown quantity.
Hillary needs to think about how she can become President. Her best shot is to play it cool and beg for the Vice Presidential nomination, and hopes that Obama secretly harbors a death wish and gives her the VP slot.
I think we are about to see mutually assured destruction. If she is going down, she will take Obama down. If he somehow gets elected, that is 8 more years she has to wait. She will be pushing 70 then. It’s this year or nothing for her.
And the ironic thing is, it'll be DEMOCRATS who'll be charging her. :D
At which time, she'll smile that fake smile of hers and dutifully nod her head in agreement to whatever he says. She's had plenty of opportunities to engage him head-on, and flinched each time.
She never learns that her attacks make it worse for her. People don’t like to see a woman being aggressive, attacking and criticizing. That’s sexism, I suppose, but it’s practically built into us. When she behaves in traditionally feminine ways, she gets sympathy. When she fights like a man, she repels.
Add to that, he’s young and popular, she’s old and sorely lacking charisma.
So she can’t lay a glove on him, and every attempt costs her votes.
I don’t care if Barracckkxx Osama Ben Lye’n is the friggin Anti Christ. I’d still vote for him over the Clinton(S) any day.
They seem accurate to me. He's quoting her own book, for Pete's sake.
“In theory, NAFTA might have worked to increase economic development in Mexico. It was Clinton however, that gutted NAFTA by opening the flood gates to China.”
That basically is it. Spot on.
Pot. Kettle.
Unsaid by each of them, about the other: “It would be so easy to kill him/her right where he/she stands.”
