Used to be a $25 bounty on the snakes but I never knew anyone who turned in more than a couple. Must have been some type of limit.

The snakes used to be the biggest threat to the Koko ( a flightless bird also known as the Guam Rail ) as it would eat their eggs. Never could run over a Koko as I was always in an underpowered vehicle when they were on the road.

Guam will always be one of my favorite places. Damn Travis! If that’s you in the pic, I think I may know you. I was in NMCB 40.

Or said another way... Can we afford to lose a war for failing to have the capability these assets provide?

The only downside to Guam (aside from insane local politics) is that it is so darned far! There is no quick or inexpensive way to get back and forth to the mainland USA. But I’d go back in a minute. And it was a great place to raise small children, with great beaches and water parks all over the place. And if any single guys are reading this, a lot of local girls are very, very pretty.

The cost would not make it practical, all the tooling, machines, dies, and I am not sure if Boeing has the room to do this at this time since they are working on other projects.,,i.e. the 787, 747-8i, 777-F, maybe, ( just maybe, a large order from the US Airforce for the 767 tanker ).

I think, the other crash happen either early when it was in service, or when it was being tested.

I always said that if most all of the papers in the world had the headline “ The World Ends Tomorrow,” the Pacific Daily News would have “ GovGuam Asks For More Money From The US Because The World Ends Tomorrow.”

The B-2 is a bird of beauty. Thank You Lord, for the safety of the pilots riding in her.

Amen. She's a pretty bird.

Imagine how many pilot less predators you could buy for $1,200,000,000.

Note: Their server must be a 486 or Pentium 1. It’s real slow on a broadband connection.

“In fact, I’m sure its replacement is already flying, albeit at night, in the middle of nowhere.”

... and how many of those will comprise our entire fleet ?
10 aircraft ? 5 ?

B2s are the coolest planes ever. This is horrible to hear. Glad the crew is OK.

Ramada Thompson: “You were discharged from the service 18 months ago for willful insubordination. You disobeyed a direct order and lost a $13 million fighter in the process.”

Topper Harley: “Yes, I did. But I’m paying it off at ten bucks a week. And I wouldn’t be doing that if I’d gotten that extra collision coverage.”
