The local Fox affiliate in the Twin Cities finally confirms what the local papers didnt seem to want to mention about the horrible school bus accident that killed four children. It didnt have to happen:
Authorities have confirmed that the the driver of the van that struck the school bus that killed 4 students on Tuesday is an illegal alien.
Officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement are checking to see where she came from and how long shes been in Minnesota. FOX 9 has also learned that the name she gave to police, Alainiss Morales, is an alias.
23-year-old Alainiss N. Morales was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation. She was arrested by the State Patrol Thursday afternoon and is being held in Lyon County Jail. County Attorney Rick Maes told the Marshall Independent charges could come later Thursday or Friday
The van was driven by Alianiss N. Morales, 23, of Minneota. The Fox 9 Investigator found

There are primary causes and secondary causes. I could not care less that you find the secondary causes ‘distasteful’.
Then he never followed through and made them secure.
If Hormel didn’t have these low wage, illegal workers, then they would have to charge $5.00 a pound for bacon———Oh wait a minute, never mind!!!
Classic what? Lack of comprehension on you part?
Where, in any post, do I voice opposition to homeschooling?
As you mourn those four dead children, take comfort in knowing that their passing is but a small price to pay so you can save $0.05 on a head of lettuce.
In case you did not know, I live in Minnesota. The weather and road conditions had nothing to do with this. That is a fact.
Another fact, if you actually read the stories posted on this subject, is that the illegal perp almost crashed into someone's house in 2006 because it seems she did not know how to drive a car. The perp was convicted of driving without a license.
She also has been found to have to different identity cards. The name she is currently operating under is an alias. She is an illegal criminal.
The clear agenda here is the perp's immigration status. Nothing else. I stand by my point that to somehow blame the parents for putting their children on a school bus is offensive.

In a minivan, everyone would be dead whether they were going to the mall or church or just to the corner grocery store. Public schooling had nothing to do with this.
This is a case of a driver who broke the laws governing the privilege of driving.

Not so low. One drove over the top of my car, straddled a small tree, and plowed halfway into a bedroom.
Yes, the drivers are nuts down in South America. Mexico too. I lived in Mexico City; once the bus driver stopped the bus, got out of the bus!, and had a punch-fest with some guy who had cut him off.
Rule of Law, so extraordinary.
You clearly missed my point.
If someone had shown up to the funeral of these poor kids with anti illegal imigration signs I am sure you would admit they would be in increadably poor taste. Because that would not be the right time to bring up that agenda. Even if it is a valid point over all.
Oh forget it. I see several other people totally missed my point to and I have other things to do.

The criminal with no ethics is now lying too. What a shock.
We can thank our immigration-incompetent Commander-In-Chief
George Bush who in 7 years as President has continuously avoided doing NOTHING to secure our borders.
There are plenty of statistics on how many victims are saved by wearing seatbelts. Seatbelts. You know, those things parents are required by law to use when driving their children.
Try not to be offended by what is really just the name of a ping list of non-school parents interested in stories about school.
I'm 100% with you on the illegal part of the story. She should've been deported when she was caught driving without a license the first time. Then this tragedy wouldn't have happened.
However, the fact is, legal citizens crash into schoolbuses, too. The lack of seatbelts on schoolbuses plays a factor which cannot be denied. I'm angry about the lax laws on illegals AND the lack of safety on schoolbuses, both of which sadly contributed to this tragedy.
I’m torn about the use of seatbelts, however. A caller (former bus driver) on one of our local talk shows had a good point. When the 35W bridge in Minneapolis went down, a school bus went down with it. None of the children died because they were able to get out. Imagine a bus full of panicky children with the bus sinking in the water. No bus driver would’ve been able to cut them out of their belts in time without someone drowning. Yes, I realize that was a very unusual situation, but it did give me pause for thought. I imagine a fire would pose the same danger.
We have had our share of tragedy in Minnesota in the past year. It really burns me that this latest one was preventable. If the illegal perp wasn’t here, ignoring our laws, this wouldn’t have happened.
Thanks for the ping. Condolences to the families and friends of the innocent victims. BUMP-TO-THE-TOP!
