>> If some Spec Ops guys are occasionally using an AK, it is because they want to, not because they have to.

That’s what I recall reading. Some troops choose AK-47 because they think it’s more jam-resistant or something. (I’m not a gun-head so I may not have it right in the details.)

But... the operative word is, CHOOSE to use the weapon.

If CNN were really journalists, THEY would call the candidates on this crapola. But they’re not journalists.

It’s a well known fact that AK’s are much more resilient and less prone to jamming and require less tender loving care than U.S. M-4s and M-16s

Your word “choose” makes no sense to a leftist except when used to justify infanticide.

To the left, anything that isn’t required is prohibited, and all dictates and decisions come from a small group or single individual at the top of the authority structure.

If you're walking alone and unafraid into the middle of Indian country, do you:

A. Use a weapon which says to all within both visual and hearing range "Hey, I'm an American, how you doing?", or

B. Use a weapon which looks and sounds like the same weapon the local bad guys use?

SF operators are not stupid. Or politicians.
