That’s what I recall reading. Some troops choose AK-47 because they think it’s more jam-resistant or something. (I’m not a gun-head so I may not have it right in the details.)

Exactly...spot on. Spec Ops will use the enemy's weapons so that they cannot be identified when firing the weapon.
But, when it does occur, they do this because that is their desire, not because there is any kind of shortage or ill equipping going on.
Obama, again, has shown himself at best to be wholly ignorant...and at worst to be an abject liar who will twist the facts to his own gain.
