DC Chapter of Free-Republic and all lurkers in good standing are encouraged to join fellow members, veterans, lurkers and citizens this coming Monday February 25th from 3pm-6pm to show support for our Armed Forces Recruiters and to send a direct message to the cowards who attacked our Armed Forces Recruiting Station.
Our rally seeks to send a clear message to the leftists terrorists that we will not permit their actions to go unanswered and that City Officials need to explain to the public why police officers did not take corrective actions to stop the senseless attack upon federal government property by a group who is well known for carrying out attacks against property and innocent citizens.
Our message is equally clear that we will not allow another generation of Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines to be disrespect at home as they have fought for our freedom and security overseas.
With the forecast calling for snow and ice tomorrow, we have chose for safety sake to move our rally from tomorrow to Monday. There is a good chance that federal and local government will be closed or close early tomorrow.
Due to inclement weather expected tomorrow (Friday) and concerned for our safety on the roads with DC's notoriously insane (liberal) drivers, Trueblackman has decided to reschedule the Support Our Recruiters rally in downtown DC.
New date is Monday, February 25th, 3pm - 6pm.
Location is the same. Armed Forces Recruiting Center on L Street, between 13th and 14th Streets.
RSVP to Trueblackman on this thread.

I scheduled a full physical that day. If I get out soon enough I’ll try to make it.
The petition
We, the undersigned condemn the Berkeley City Councils treasonous attack on US Marine Recruiters stationed in their city. We ask that Congress cut off funds from any and all municipal entity within the confines of the city of Berkeley, California, until such time as the city council withdraws its action.
The City Council has voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests.
The measure passed last week by a vote of 8-1.
The council also voted to explore enforcing a city anti-discrimination law, focusing on the militarys dont ask, dont tell policy.
In a separate item, the council voted, also 8-1, to give the Marxist protest group Code Pink a parking space in front of the recruiting office once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week.

I guess we’ve turned into wussies.
Might be for the best as I’m having new ammo shipped in from Ohio.
New ammo, whatever kind it is, is always a good thing. Brightens up a rainy day better than Campbell's soup.
;-)
Looks like I could make this one.
TBM - Thanks for coordinating these rallies.

Making sure you got this!

We’ll have to talk later about the “official” response...
Bump it again.

Good for you! Last year I took pizza to one of the local recruiting stations. They thought it was a joke when I originally called to find out their hours. You can imagine their surprise when I showed up. Very rewarding!
BTW, try to use Little Ceasar’s since they support the troops.
