COTTONWOOD, Minn. -- Authorities have confirmed that the the driver of the van that struck the school bus that killed 4 students on Tuesday is an illegal alien.
Officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement are checking to see where she came from and how long she's been in Minnesota. FOX 9 has also learned that the name she gave to police, Alainiss Morales, is an alias.

Macho girl, you’re right. Why should she care about breaking any other laws here? She broke a big one to come here, is using fake identities, driving without a license, and now she’s LYING to cover her butt with the death of four children on her hands.
Shows the character of lawbreakers.

While this is not the school’s fault, it may be another reason to homeschool. And, of course, more proof that open borders is having deadly consequences on the American people.
In my opinion it is another reason never to put your child on a school bus.
There is almost no protection for the child in rollover or side impact collisions. All testing by the NTSA was for front head on collisions only. In this case the illegal aliens not only struck the bus in the side, but the bus rolled over as well.
The fact that we have illegal aliens in the country is not the school’s fault.
The accident itself was not the school’s fault.
BUT,,,Teachers, principals, school boards, and superintendents should, and likely DO know, how dangerous side impact and rollover accidents are for children in their school buses! Seat belt provide considerable protection against injury from these types of accidents.
Check out the other threads that have been pinged.
Problem is, school buses are not safe. Seats can break loose and the kids on the impact side of the bus who were then thrown on top of the seats and students below them, probably were the ones who suffered the worst injuries and deaths.
They may or may not have died if it were a minivan and everyone was belted in. I’m sure crash tests could determine that. There are fairly simple ways of determining her speed based on physics; skid marks, weights of vehicles, etc. Crash tests on vans could then provide the answer to the question.
