NY TIMES On McCain: It’s What They Leave Out ( Some Details not included by the Times)

Not very shocking that the Times would leave something like this out of their McCain story:

Robert Bennett, a Washington attorney representing McCain, told NBC’s “Today” show that McCain’s staff provided the Times with “approximately 12 instances where Senator McCain took positions adverse to this lobbyist’s clients and her public relations firm’s clients,” but none of the examples were included in the paper’s story.

Highlight the instances where it benefited the company, but ignore all the times where it went against them….nope, no bias there.

I think about it everyday, why hasn’t some person/group with good morals, and with deep pockets, put out a politics “TRUTH” tv news show.....something that takes a “news item” and analyzes it,and then does updates on the “news item”....I guess i need to start playin the lottery, again

The NYT learned nothing from their screw up in connection with the Texas Air National Guard story.

McCain has integrity, the NYT does not.

It’s as simple as that.

McCain might be able to prove he has integrity the day he apologizes to Romney for the lies he told about what Romney said about troop dates in Florida.

He has no integrity, and he dseserved to get this trouble. Maybe now he will understand what it feels like when a person lies about what you said or did.

McCain is a little man.

Agree on the last statement.

While we know that SOMEONE is lying, I'm not instantly convinced that it's the NY Times.

McCain's friend Weaver has a LOT of reasons to lie, and to perhaps now deny what he then said.

No doubt if it is true, more will emerge. I despise McCain, but the NYT needs to have more pfoof before going with something like this.

As far as McCain having integrity? Hah, my how quickly sheeple forget what this man has done to the GOP. He is at least, an unworthy candidate. People who have forgotten what he is about, will be whining before long. Just a matter of time.

McCain isn’t going to like being treated like a Republican by the media, but his campaign has handled this the right way, so well in fact that it could make one wonder if it was staged.

"Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas."

I guess McC was too needful to think about this when he got an "endorsement" from the NYT. Really.....who didn't see this coming (except for McC)?

So, McCain’s excuse is that most of the time their was no quid pro quo, just some of the time?

The story is not McCain, it's the Times. Why did they endorse McCain on Super Tuesday when they knew about these supposed transgressions? Why not release the story a month ago and derail McCain then? We all know why. They and the rest of the DBM saw McCain as the least objectionable candidate. Get McCain nominated and lower the boom to destroy, not only McCain, but the GOP as well.

The New York Times has been and is engaged in manipulating the American presidential election. This is not some paranoid scenario involving electric voting machines. this is a blatant manipulation of the news by the most influential media outlet in the world. It's not a Keith olbermann fantasy. It's out there for the whole world to see.

A response from the internet at least equal to that engendered by Rathergate is needed.

open letter to McCain: these are the people of the high moral ground to whom you have catered. Enjoy their adulation.

McCain is such a liar that his word is meaningless and the spin of his staff just fluff.

I only saw part of McCain's response. Did he say only that he had no romantic relationship with that woman? If yes, then he could have still had a sexual relationship with her or a relationship with other women.

Cindy's smiling was disconcerting and she was so covered with makeup that her face looked like a mask. She stood close to him like a nurse in case he stumbled.

I heard the ethics committee's reprimand of him. This is only the beginning. In any case, he would never win. He has too many negative points.

This is in no way comparable to the Dan Rather fiasco. Dan Rather’s evidence could physically be proven false. This McCain story has no evidence and as such cannot be proven false. That is the “beauty” of the Times’ plan.
