Oh, MAN, Ernest, the NYSlimes have obviously known about this for quite some time!

Considering your tag: I was going to have a banner printed to put in my yard, “Vote Dem, you’ll look good in a burkha, now, though, I think I’m gonna have to say, “Vote, we’ll all look good in burkhas”!

Of course, egomaniacs always believe the “good stuff” they hear about themselves. The truth, however, if it’s ugly, is just a “smear”.

I think the NY Times just screwed Johnny Mc without a kiss. I guess they thought they’d had enough foreplay.

Remember a few months ago...supposedly the LATimes was sitting on a “scandal” about some prominent candidate? I don’t believe this is it, but wonder what it was/is.

McCain used the NYTs to get the liberal vote for the nomination. Now he’s using the lefty rag to get conservative votes for the general election.
The guy may be a bum but he’s a clever bum.

When this was breaking last night I was wondering about the timing of this, since he’s got the nomination wrapped up. This seems more like an “October surprise” story. I’m thinking they see the Republicans starting to calm down and come together behind McCain(even though there are still serious differences) - Now they’re trying to stir the pot a little to keep the right uneasy.

I don’t like McCain, but I am not going to accept that the NYTs has suddenly achieved credibility just because they smear him.
That would be petulant.A zillion lies for a zillion years and NOW the Times tells the truth?
Sorry,can’t go for it.

McCain should come out with “This is an insult to that woman.”

Big surprise here. It was only said to happen about a thousand times before here.

... for the conspiracy folks ... the story was planted by McPain’s operatives to swing anti-McPain conservatives over to his defense. After all, who would you believe when choosing between the NYT and McP?

Once he has notable conservative detractors on record supporting him, he will ignore us all just like the R party has ignored the conservative core for years. He knows that conservatives, being honorable, dependable, etc, will rather vote for him than any D socialist.

While my disgust with Huckleberry knows no bounds, I truly believe that having Huck still in the race keeps McPain from moving left of Cankles. When elected, and I think McPain will be elected POTUS, expect the USA to evolve into a socialist state just slightly less obscene than Hillary’s vision. After all, McPain has never met a Democrat that he didn’t like.

Reports last night suggest the New York Times delayed publication of this story but their hand was forced by another magazine that was getting ready to report on the backroom negotiations that had resulted in the article being pulled in December.

So, it seems to me the important question is who is really pushing this story. If the story is being pushed by Democratic agents it is just part of the same old play book.

On the other hand, it may get very ugly if the background sources feeding the Times turn out to be individuals currently associated with a conservative agenda or candidate. As it stands now there is very little beef in the story. Someone, somewhere is pushing this and it is important to find out who it is!

This just sealed the deal with me regarding McCain. I am so outraged at the innuendo. They just threw out a bucket of mud and hoped it stuck.

The New York Times may have done what McCain has not been able to do, unite Conservatives behind him.

gee just think how much we conservatives will support him when the Keating Five scandal comes back up? Or the suppression of intel on POW’s in Viet Nam
I can’t wait to see the support just ramp up when the Corp jet rides and SOROS funding come out.

IN YOUR DREAMS

It didn't take a crystal ball to see this coming:

"What dirty tricks will the Dems use below the radar? It is, after all, the party of the Clintons. Surrogatges will employed to go after McCain on his personal life..."

-snip-

"Watch as the Dems' best buddies, their liberal media, will set a torch to the same straw house that they used to build St. John The Maverick up. And down he will go."
