Early in Senator John McCain’s first run for the White House eight years ago, waves of anxiety swept through his small circle of advisers.
A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, in his offices and aboard a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.
When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s clients, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.
Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship.
Olberman could hardly contain his gravitas. What a putz.

In my experience when two subjects of an investigation deny any wrong doing and investigative results fail to produce any factual tangible or untangible evidence, the case is unfounded.
I hope Senator McCain will sue the NYT(slimes) and make an example of those commies.

The NYT quotes “unnamed” former staffers speaking on condition of anonymity to suppose – the NYT’s conclusion - that an affair or improper professional relationship.

Yep. I thought they’d at least wait until he cinched the nomination. Technically he still doesn’t have the amount of delegates needed, even though no one is close. I would like it if this could somehow knock McCain out and give us a more conservative nominee.

CONSEVATIVES have such narrow vision and are so intolerant that they won’t even support a candidate like John McCain who has fought for Conservative issues for over 20 years in the Senate but because he has reached across the isle on one or two pieces of legislation he is labled as leftist Liberal by those intolerant, bigotted, racist, Conservative talking heads..

I don’t like McCain and won’t vote for him unless Mitt is his running mate, but this stinks and hopefully will backfire on the liberal press. What a bunch of vultures!
