Early in Senator John McCains first run for the White House eight years ago, waves of anxiety swept through his small circle of advisers.
A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, in his offices and aboard a clients corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself instructing staff members to block the womans access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.
When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyists clients, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.
Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship.
Not even 2004. I believe the ‘’Slimes’’ is talking about something back in 1999...........
obama will walk the WALKKKKKKK
Oh, and again McCain just voted to support repealing the DC gun ban. obama did NOT.
As usual, bray, you are lying. I never supported Romney. I never supported Rudy and I never supported McCain.
The socliastic tide is always there, it comes and it goes. We can take a mild wave, or a huge democrat one.
I’ll take the mild one and hope it makes it easier to push back when the pendulum of US politics isn’t so against us.
If we take obama now he’s going to steamroll us so bad everyone except the most extreme poor/union worker will wish it was 1994 all over.
Bennett also said he was a registered democrat. So way back then Bennett knew and yet does not seem to bother him, and when one looks at McCain's own record he tooo loves to side with liberal democrats.... Bennett did not exactly lend credibility to his own cause...
So.. You expect to lose horribly now to the worst monster in hopes that his socialism will make the people react later against it?
I sure wouldn’t count on that.
FR links on McCain's record from Feb. 2000. MrChips collection.
This is just the beginning.
hope hussein makes you happier
(Vanity) Pool: When will the New York Times publish its green light McCain hit piece? |
Thanks for a mature reply. ;^)
Seems to be an influx of new McCain pillow biters...
Nicely done, BTW.
It was a setup from the start. They figured him as the easy guy to beat, and dressed him like a Thanksgiving turkey.
I guess I didn’t see it that way. McCain was not my choice, but, we do ourselves no favors when we are ready to accept a poorly sourced (or unsourced) NYT story simply because we don’t like McCain.
Thank you. It’s like someone broke open a termite mound. ; )
So who are you going to vote for uh?
