On a conference call, top strategist Mark Penn just told reporters that in the next two weeks Hillary Clinton will go after Barack Obama on the issue of who is better qualified to be commander-in-chief and Penn suggested that Clinton would be a better commander of the nation's armed forces than both Obama and John McCain. "She is the only person in this race who is both ready to be commander-in-chief and would end the Iraq war and start to bring troops home within 60 days, compared to both Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain," Penn told reporters.
Later, Penn made it clear that Clinton will push the commander-in-chief issue in coming days. "The Republican nominee has extensive credibility in this area, and the Democrat is going to need to be commander-in-chief," Penn said. Obama has "relatively no experience in national security," Penn continued, an issue that "is going to be reflected in the debates that we have over the next couple of weeks."
UPDATE: Later in the call, the Clinton team was asked whether the not-qualified-to-be-commander-in-chief criticism of Obama was going too far, given that it would be used by Republicans against Obama if Obama is the Democratic nominee against John McCain. "We don't believe that he is the one who will face John McCain," Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said. "This is a legitimate question that Sen. Obama would face if he were the nominee, and it is a question that he is facing as a result of criticism from Sen. McCain now, so I think it's perfectly appropriate."
Thanks, I was between that and “If guns kill people then spoons make Rosie O’Donnell fat.”
Or at least two or three, and have some campaign workers put on uniforms to make it look like a crowd.
I’m voting McCain.
So, Penn thinks that Hillary would be the best CIC after the “willing suspension of disbelief” remark???? They think we’ll fall for whatever remake they try on Hillary? LOL
Wouldn’t you love to be listening in on Hillary’s meetings with her staff? LOLOL
How does sitting on a committee and questioning the veracity of one of our best generals qualify her any more than him to be CIC?
she has no more experience than Obama.
She’s a phony and a fake and she is losing big time. So, I hope she does go on the attack again...she’ll lose again. Can’t wait for her to pack her bag and walk into the sunset!!
So it comes down to this?
Who will yell retreat! the fastest?
I was in the Navy, and I got out because I could read the writing on the wall---i.e., jobs were going away, big time.
Sounds like a contest to see who is the most offensive commander in chief!

Ok Now I know that Mark Penn is a Rovian plant. No one could possibloy direct a campaign with more obvious intent for total collapse.
So, Penn thinks that Hillary would be the best CIC after the willing suspension of disbelief remark???? They think well fall for whatever remake they try on Hillary? LOL
Wouldnt you love to be listening in on Hillarys meetings with her staff? LOLOL

This strategy is beyond belief.
1) No voter is dumb enough to think Hillary Clinton (the one that cries when the going gets tough)would make an even mediocre CIC.
2) Wuth regard to #1 above, Democrat voters are probably dumb enough to believe that. But Democrats, by and large, hate the military. Most probably don’t even care that she would suposedly be a better CIC. If they truly cared about CIC qualities, they’d be republicans.
And yes, I would love to be a fly on the wall in these policy discussions. Truly hilarious, I am sure. Penn is an idiot.
So, since he’s not capable of running the country he would be a great healing VP candidate on the Hillary ticket , huh??
And nobody would want her for that either.
Hillary as commander-in-chief is offensive.
Here are a few more of her offensive experiences:
1. TELLING her WH military security to haul her suitcases.
2. THROWING cold coffee in the face of another
3. Not rebuking supporters at an event while running for Senator when the color guard was spat upon by said supporters. I don’t think I ever heard that she apologized for their behavior.
You must be so proud of your sons—God bless your family! Have no fear; I will proudly vote for McCain in November. Also, I live in an extremely conservative area with extremely conservative friends; they will be voting for McCain also!
Here’s an idea: give her a helmet, put her in a tank, and let her ride around for a while—and film the whole episode to put in commercials. Yeah, that’ll do it.
An even better commercial should show her fiddling around with the nuclear football yelling at Bill on the phone.
If there ever was an authority on offensive........
Thanks for your thoughts.
I am proud of my sons. I am also proud of this country!
