Looming Towards Destruction - Hillary Contemplates the Unthinkable

Posted on 02/20/2008 6:49:00 AM PST by Scythian

Few realize how dangerously close America came to discarding its way of government during its last presidential cycle. Had Al Gore not finally conceded America could have entered very murky territory. The kind of territory where power isn't voluntarily handed over. However, an even more dangerous event is on the horizon.

Hillary could well be on a path that could prove to be very dangerous. It's hard for most to understand how badly the Clintons want back in power. It might well be the Florida and Michigan fiascos were engineered by the Clinton campaign in conjunction with the DNC (which will eventually capitulate to the Clintons commands for those precious delegates) as a sort of backup plan. It looks like they will indeed be calling in those markers. However, that is not true danger as undemocratic as that maybe.

The Clinton campaign could be contemplating "stealing" the nomination from Obama using very undemocratic tactics such as what we see happening with Florida and Michigan, and it would seem they are now lobbying delegates of all kinds, including those that originally went for Obama. So what's the danger?

The Democratic Party is supposed to be party of the minorities, especially black voters. However, the Hillary camp, if it succeeds, will clearly have stolen the nomination, and likely the Presidency from the very first black candidate, Barack Obama. The black voter will see this for what it truly is, a Good Ol' boy network yanking the carpet out from under their feet, against their will, discarding their votes, and what will ensue will be cataclysmic rioting and outrage as has not been seen in America before. The black voters of America will have been shafted by their own party and this will cut very deeply. It will truly be the crime of century.

The Clintons are desperate for the White House, while much talk has been made about a brokered convention, I dare say that could be the best outcome, indeed, a far more dangerous event is looming on the horizon, one that could be avoided if a sense of Honor, Democracy, and Fair Play were simply obeyed.

LOL I, Claudius

Sen. Obama is a socialist, and I'd vote for a can of herring before I'd give him my vote. Nevertheless, I pray for his safety and well-being, for reasons which I'm sure you all are smart enough to figure out. The last thing this country needs now is a rebirth of the Spirit of '92...

"Obama and Hillary are two versions of socialism. Both stink!"

Agreed. You'll get no argument from me on that. Just pointing out that Obama is just as dangerous as Hillary if not more so. The Clintons were "timid" Socialists, willing to advance their cause in baby steps. Obama may think he can take one huge giant step if elected in a landslide with a Democrat congress which appears to be what will occur in Nov. barring some unforeseen incident that might sidetrack him.

Don’t say things like that. She’s not my favorite politician, but she’s a human being.

It’s likely that Hillary will divide the Democrti party and attempt to use the advantage of super delegates to insure the outcome is that she will be the nominee if the delegate count is close going into the convention.

It’s also likely that Mclame, with all his warts, will crush Hillary or Obama.

It'd be nice if it were true, but it isn't true. Obama will win 95% of the black vote. Hispanics will be more competitive, but still a 15 to 20 point net vote gainer for the democrats.

Then he will raise taxes on profitable small business owners by up to a third, and the same for corporate dividends for the investor set. He is an out and out class warrior, he just doesn't talk about it too loudly. He will spend the loot on third world appeasement transfers in lieu of having a foreign policy, and on green and make-work projects at home.

The polls all say McCain crushes Hillary, but loses to Obama. They've been wrong before, but right now that is the likely bet. And yet another reason the Dems aren't going to drink any more Clinton kool-aid.

Don't think for a second that the Clintons would hesitate to tear this country apart (I'm sure you wouldn't) or do whatever is necessary.

You're probably right. The Clintons crave power like vampire bats crave blood. What's a little bloodshed to them as long as Hillary fulfills her self-appointed destiny?

ex-POTUS was willing to bomb foreign countries to keep a certain pudgy intern off page one. What would they care about a little blood in the streets?

Good Point. I still am doubltful that they CAN pull this off, but I'm sure they'll try. Man, there's going to be a BIG outcry if she succeeds, from ALL parties.

Perhaps blaks would vote Republican in 90%+ numbers?

Would be nice, wouldn't it?

Obama would probably be convinced to go 3rd party, thereby splitting the Demmie vote enough so that McCain would win. I personally don't want McCain but it is still better than hillary or obama.

Interesting to be sure, this Democrat Convention. Some have claimed it may be as tumultuous as that of 1968.

All the progressive demonstrators that have their reservations set for the Republican convention may want to change them now. The pubbie party convention is going to be pretty lame compared to the dem's.

If it sticks....Obama seems have a sort of teflon coating, so let’s see if he either disproves it or spins it to backfire on Hillary. Right now, the proof of this event seems somewhat thin.

I was thinking of some as yet unknown scandal, not the sex and drugs thing. Of course *that* one won't damage him; those charges are almost prerequisites for party membership. ;-)

Now, if Hillary has pix of Obama hanging around with Dick Cheney, *that* might burn through the teflon and put the hurt on Barack's popularity.

oops, the article I linked above says ...

It was a succinct message designed to forewarn and forearm his people against what was expected to be a ferocious onslaught from an increasingly desperate Clinton campaign. "Better get your hazmat suits on", the memo told them.

It could very well be that the time has come for black voters to wake up

That'll only happen when they lose the 'group-think', victim mentality, and embrace idividual freedom and liberty (that are in decline). Massive evacuation of the Dem plantation should have happened years ago. Not many willing to purchase a ride on the Freedom Train.

For the record, my hope is that calmer heads prevail and such an event does not occur.
