A friend, watching Obama, said “we have the new Fidel”...that man sure does talk alot and loves the sound of his voice.

Interesting you should mention that, cajungirl. My husband has a friend (now in his mid-50s) who grew up in the old Soviet Union. The friend mentioned today that Fidel Castro would come to the Soviet Union occasionally back in the early 1960s. Fidel would give 4-5 hour speeches... my husband's friend and other Soviet school children were forced to listen to the entire speech (through a translator). He said Fidel spoke quite a bit about "change" and "hope", and that he and the other school children joked that Castro must have been paid by the word, as the speeches were so long.

Fidel... Barack... Fidel... Barack... change... hope... hmmmm...

Obama won Connecticut, and only lost New Jersey due to corpses and every ditzy cocktail waitress from South Amboy to Atlantic City.

Well, sadly, I predict that this time next year we will be saying President Obama. Pehaps he’ll be wearing Fidel-style fatigues by then.
