Philosophy

America

The US Constitution is the finest and most enlightened governing document in the history of nations. The blessings of the Almighty were present as the men from the various former colonies crafted a system of republican rule that struck the fundamental balance between God-given individual freedoms, the autonomy of the States, and the necessity of a limited, but strong triumvirate federal government. The FALCON party recognizes not only the brilliance of our Constitution, but also the solemn duty to abide by its provisions. The Founders provided a mechanism to change the stipulations held within the Constitution, and the Congress, the Executive Branch, the Courts and the States can not add or subtract from it, except through the Amendment Process.

The preservation of this nation is our paramount duty. Evil has always been and will always be. We will allow no nation to threaten us with impunity. Our military strength must always be capable of defeating multiple, simultaneous threats, whether those threats are from the belligerence of another nation, multiple nations allied together, terror organizations, or any combination thereof. We shall maintain the strength sufficient for any adversary to desire peace instead of war, and to vanquish any foolish enough to choose war. We shall strive for peaceful and cordial relationships with other nations who seek peaceful and cordial relations. But we will never turn a blind eye to despotism, tyranny and communism and will continue to prod such regimes to offer freedom to their peoples and inspire peoples living in such states to demand it.

America is the “last, best hope” on earth, and we can never allow the Europeanization to spread to our shores. Unfettered political correctness, socialism, militant secularism, feminism and the consolidation of power into the hands of bureaucrats have neutered most European nations to

Thanks. The one is still funny. It appears things have not changed a great deal. The jackass dressed as a lion is hilarious as well as the NY Times Unicorn(?). :)

Yeah... that's what I thought. You've got a nice little exemption you can write off for your business. Further, you are also apparently too stupid or too inept to run a business and make more than a "poverty salary".

I say stupid or inept because with an NRST most of your business tax burden and compliance costs GO AWAY. It'd be an instant profit increase.

Run along now. Your time would be better spent working on your failing business than polluting the Internet.

Exactly. But then again, a party logo with a historical connection is a neccacity, and it seems that the jackas and the elephant have a long history, that the parties finally embraced. When people embrace something that was originally intended as deragoratory it can often become very strong symbolism. Yet I can´t understand that anyone would like to be a jackass rather than an elephant. Jackasses having had a stigma for centuries. My partie´s logo come straight out of the independence movement of my country, as we didn´t want to have as our symbol a flattened fish like had been for centuries. So we choose a dignified bird, a bird that had been sought after by kings for hunting in old times. Icelanders wanted the bird to have spread wings, but when the Danish granted us the Home Rule shield in 1904, it was more humble so to speak. But when the Independence party was created out of the big Conservative Party overtaking the Liberal party, both of wich came out of the independence movement the falcon had been vacant for 6 years, as when we got semi independence in 1918 we got another symbol, straight from mythologie (and some say the for protectors of the country are the Kyrobs from the bible that guard the seat of the Lord).
Blue and white have also been traditional colors of Iceland for centuries although the Danish forced us to put red in our new flag also (wich we embraced then). The falcon emblem is dear to us, it shows a long and proud history. It is also f.e. used by the oldest school in Iceland student body. It shows strength and history. Like the GOP party logo, although it is maybe to stylised in its current form.

..please pass along my compliments to all regarding the birth of the new website

Can't forget border security. I am hoping that the FALCONs will make a strong statement on this critical issue--unless I missed it--coffee hasn't kicked in...

Yes of course a blue falcon, blue has been the symbol of right wing parties everywhere for a very long time. Blue (and white) are also the traditional colors of Iceland, Iceland is sometimes refered to as the blue land. And as the Independence party comes straight out of the nationalistic/patriotic independence movement, it is very fitting.

Why on earth the Republicans have increasingly been identifying with the red perplexes me, and surely doesn´t help right wing parties elsewhere to identify with it. Even though it has one of the most active right wing ideas and new ways of doing things that could help the right wing movement all around the world. But it is also very controversial among right wingers espescially because of its social policy and the more isolationist elements.

“It suggests whatever you choose to think it suggests”

so true, it suggests nothing, it means nothing, its like an inside joke - everyone outside is neither amused or enthused by an inside joke

That’s great toots. I know it may be a bit masculine for you. But the beauty of America is that you can probably find a party that caters to your sensitivities.

a sense of bravado was desired

and someone thought falcon’s are all male???

well that explains it

a name that seeks bravado over substance

It’s an acronym, or did you skip that part.

“Why on earth the Republicans have increasingly been identifying with the red perplexes me,..”

It has to do with the election map the media shows on election night. I have forgotten which election it was, maybe Al Gore and the phony vote count in Florida. But when Freepers here talk about “Red States” it does not refer to the Republicans actual party colors. It refers to the color used to mark the states that Republicans won. Blue was used for the democrats. It was the choosing of the media, not the party.

I hope that helps.

no, visually, as a form of communication i ignore it (the words behind the acronym), as will most people, which is why, as the name of a political party/organization it won’t work - it won’t attract serious attention

"I looked over their platform. Guess what’s missing? A section on illegal immigration/the Invasion."

Me too. They are missing something else very important:

No mention whatsoever of attempting to destroy the real enemy of freedom.

Without that, they are just blowing smoke.

NO DEAL!
