I'll go a step further than you. If Hillary controls the floor, whether by elected delegates OR superdelegates, she will get ALL the Florida and Michigan delegates. If Obama controls the floor, he will get more than half of those state delegates, and will allow Hillary to get a minority.

Either way, the person with the lead going into that floor fight will be the winner, coming out. As you say, it will not change the outcome, though the outcome may be undemocratic if Hillary wins by a nose with superdelegate votes.

She may be in a position to manipulate the Rules Committee to get that done with less than a majority. But if she is behind Obama in the delegate count, it will be difficult for her to get those Mich. and Fla. delegates without causing a huge uproar.

And by a huge uproar, I mean all of Obama's delegates walking out of the convention hall. It will be better than the Balloon Drop Failure of 2004.
