McCain gives us a strong military, an anti pork approach, a willingness to listen on taxes and the border and a better chance at judges who will not be aclu lawyers. The negatives he brings are many of the same we would get with either the kalif or the beast, but they would give us total socialism.

i am sick and tired of this ranting and raving that we must all jump on the mcpain bandwagon, or the nation is going to hell in a hand basket - poppycock

it is clear that even with a mcpain presidency, as well as without it

the best defense of the country will need to come from our opposition in congress - opposition to mcpain as well

therefore

i don’t give a dam who you vote for for president, as long as its not billary/obama

BUT DO GET OUT AND, STARTING YESTERDAY and get working for your best GOP candidates, for congress and just as importantly in your state races....NOW

For me, America comes before my party affiliation (which, unfortunately, has lately become not much different than the Dark Side). I can’t stand McCain, and I utterly detest Obambi and Hildabeast. The question is: Which one would do the least harm to America (since none of them are apt to do anything good for America)? That’s a tough question, because all three have serious negatives.

Thus, for me it boils down to this: I hate Marxism, and I will fight it with every fiber of my being. In that context, my decision is clear: I cannot and will not vote for either of the two confirmed Marxists, and will vote to keep them out of the White House.

I am disgusted that among 300,000,000 Americans we cannot come up with someone better to choose from than these three losers.

God help us.

I’m with John Allen. As a small “L” Libertarian, I gave up on the idea a long time ago of one of my own getting elected. McCain isn’t perfect, but anyone who cares about this country would not let Hillary or Barry O assume the White House.

“We can always rebuild the conservative movement during and after McCain, but we can never rebuild America after Democrats destroy our America.”

No, sir, you can’t. When you give them your vote that is all they need or want from you. That is your leverage and it is only operational for a very short time.

As for destroying America: The ‘destruction’ of America is much much further along in it’s timeline than you seem to realize. That destruction will continue at it’s present pace irrespective of whether McCain or Hillary or Obama is elected.

The clowns are winning because people vote for them.

This is pure manure.

So if hiter was running for president promising security then that is ok?

This sounds like the old people down in miami who ADMIT they would vote for Hitler as a democrat (LITERALLY ) over ANY republican.

Conservatism IS AMERICANISM. It is vastly superior to mccain’s repainted amnesty coupled with “do nothing” border security. It is vastly superior to McCain’s comitment to go back to the kyoto table and screw the US ecconomy.

McCain is just a priviledge little boy who is a beltway insider. He was endorsed by a RINO president and we are expected to swoon this as a conservative proof. ha. ha.

Considering his condemnation of some judges as a TOO conservative then he does not even have that as credibility.

McCain does not understand the majority of the country is CONSERVATIVE.

We should always remember 25% of all those who voted for McCain were NOT republicans.

We need to ignore mccain. no money. no support. no volunteer hours. we need to focus on congress.

McCain gives us a strong military

Well that's great! He can use them to put down the rebellion until the Mexicans get a majority here!

Then you can he a Mexican before you are a conservative!

Voting to continue the downward spiral of the Republican party is not in the best interest of America. It will do more to undermine the fabric of our society than an ineffective Democrat who would be actively opposed by the Republicans.

McCain is anti-business - look at his history on the commerce committe.

There is no evidence that McCain would select good judges. He thinks Alito is too conservative. He led the gang of 14. Name one conservative judge that he took a stand for.

He voted against tax cuts twice.

He will open the border! Tell me about national safety then.

You will not get the true leadership you need and deserve until you demand it. Falling in line and settling for a totally defective alternative will not get the job done. It is because of people who settle based on flawed logic that we are in this mess.

I’m an American first too.

And I have guns.

And I believe the Second Amendment is there for a damned good reason.

And I’ll help take this country back if necessary.

Every few years Americans have to go through some sort of cleansing self abuse. Even knowing what I know now, I would have still voted for Nixon. Did Carter "fix" anything when we booted Ford out? We had to do it though, to somehow teach ourselves a lesson. Bush 41 wasn't the best president either, but putting the "bent one" in office for 8 years didn't really help anything.

Now it's the same choice again. I don't agree with everything Dubya has done either, but just imagine "President Kerry or President Gore". Now that Bush hasn't bowed and scraped to every whim we can come up with, we, once again will sit home or vote 3rd party, to teach America a lesson. Our choices are clear and stark. I wanted Hunter, Tancredo, or Thompson. Well I actually wanted Newt, but was attacked here on FR because he divorced his wife or some such crap. Newt was actually the only intellectual choice for saving America, but apparently we needed Guliani dressed in drag having 3 wives or some such stuff I can't quite get my mind around. I bet Newt looks pretty good now.

Now the choices are made for us by a bunch of corn farmers and Newhampshites that are mad because someone didn't shake their hand at the pancake shop. I will vote for Huckabee in the primary as a protest vote, and also to show McPain its not in the bag, but I will have to vote for McPain in the general, if for no other reason than the WOT. The bad part is he may win and all the liberal stuff that happens on his watch will be blamed on Republicans. At least if HillObama is elected, it will be harder to blame the Republicans. The Mantra against Republicans today is they spent too much while in control. Well, get ready for some REAL spending and tax hikes.

I would rather take a chance that we can control McPain than have no chance against against the Spawn of Satan.

Just a history lesson, when Clinton raised taxes and Hillary's health plan fizzled, we got a Republican congress for the first time in 60 years. Some people voting this time aren't even old enough to remember the impeachment. It's a bunch of trouble, but we can call our congress critters and let them know when we aren't happy, just like when Bush wanted amnesty we melted the phones in DC. It's a pain to have to run the country from the grassroots, but it can be done. The problem I see with McPain is he's a "Maverick". He may think he can survive by doing what "he thinks is right". He will be a one termer if that's turns out to be the case. Maybe he did learn his lesson with Amnesty, maybe not. If he thinks swapping spit with Kennedy will get him allocades from the press, he will learn the same as Newt did. Just like Rush warned, the press hates Republicans and getting along with Liberals won't get you better press. If HillObama is president, we have NO power and they will be blaming FR and the RW conspiracy for all the troubles coming our way.

The voters in Washington State have been disenfranchised by the insider GOP by the inept way that the primary system was designed and manipulated by McCain. This needs to be fixed before I can even think of supporting the GOP candidate that they chose.

In addition, we are in a local war for private property rights (and water rights) with the enviro-nazis. Now McCain has taken their side with his global warming bill. If McCain wants our support, he needs to renounce his McCain/Lieberman bill. You people from other parts of the country have no idea what is at stake here. It is our very way of life that is being threatened.

What is it about the word “never” that is so hard to understand.

McCain will lose the election in a landslide. He is the darling of the media and he loves it. Watch them eat him alive when either Barack Hussein or Billary becomes the DemocRATS candidate.

Yesterday I was told if I didn't vote for McCain, Denver and NY would be nuked and we'd all be in danger of dying.

Today, if I don't vote for McCain, I'm told I'm not really an American.

This begging and threatening for votes is beyond belief...

The big-gov, open border traitors will stop at nothing to persuade us to sell off our conservative principles at discount prices to save their arrogant, elitist political party.
