Author: George Soros brains behind McCain-Feingold
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | February 18, 2008 | Jerome R. Corsi

An investigative author says George Soros used Sen. John McCain to push for limits on issue advertising by grassroots groups because he was upset over the cataclysmic failure of Hillarycare, the all-encompassing government health care program proposed during Bill Clinton's first term as president.

The author, Richard Poe, told WND that Soros later funded the senator's Reform Institute because of their work together on the McCain-Feingold Act.

"Money paid to the Reform Institute rewarded McCain for pushing the McCain-Feingold Act, a law which restricts the ability of grassroots groups to advertise on television, while allowing major media free rein to promote their favorite Democrat candidates," Poe told WND.

According to the author, Soros devised McCain-Feingold in 1994 in response to the failure of Hillarycare, the universal health care program Hillary Clinton championed.

Hillary, Soros and other Democrats blamed the defeat of Hillarycare on television advertising and, as a result, Soros resolved to choke off access to the TV airwaves to those opponents, Poe told WND.

A comment could not be obtained from the McCain campaign because of the holiday yesterday. But in their book, "The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party," co-authors David Horowitz and Poe trace Soros' determination to push for campaign finance reform back to a speech Soros gave at Columbia University's school of medicine on Nov. 30, 1994.

In that address, Soros spoke mainly about a new initiative he was launching called the Project on Death in America.

With his Project on Death in America, Soros sought to promote "palliative care," which means keeping patients comfortable while they are dying, but making no effort to save or extend their lives.

You mean campaign finance reform wasn’t really a sincere attempt to “clean up politics”. Gosh, has anyone told CNN yet? :D

“soros... a crook that I have experienced PERSONALLY... a man so corrupt and evil he must be kin to satan himself... owns both parties and all three candidates.”

You are correct.

I loath all three (four...I am including the Huckster) corrupt candidates, and I keep thinking about how many people were sent to the gas chambers/ovens because of Soros.

Soros is the most despicable, evil person on this planet.

Can you share with us your experienced with the #1 evil one?

Can you provide me with an article that goes into that subject?

Could the McCainites explain again, on balance with everything we know about John McCain, why I should cast my vote for the Republican presidential candidate? Could that rationale extend past the "a Democratic will be much worse" argument?

And while you contemplate a cognitive response, try to avoid the palliative labels of John being truly conservative and a nominator of strict constructionist justices.

If Soros is pushing Hillary’s health care and he makes his fortune from betting against a country’s economy, then he must know that universal health care in America would bring this economy to a screeching halt. He is indeed evil.

We may get a scenario in which H KKKlintler takes the dem nomination via gaming and superdelegates, and there’s some sort of a believable and well funded third party option in the picture, most likely an Obama/Bloomberg ticket. With at least one rational person along with him and minus the baggage of the dem party, Obama becomes believable; if nothing else he’s got two or three times the IQ of the others.

They'll probably reply with some baloney about McCain's arbitrary and wholly subjective ACU rating of 82.3 and follow that up with the vapid excuse concerning the Ronald Reagan quote about giving me someone who is Conservative 80% of the time.

Good old georgie boy, the communist who will die a communist and good riddance to bad rubbish, has used the leftist liberal McCain to accomplish his gains. And he will probalbly use him more.
Is it not time for a third party conservative to run so we have a representive to vote for.

There are a few great articles reprinted here on FR. I thought I had saved at least one. The one for which I am looking goes into some interesting details.

For now, as I am looking for it, I will give you this teaser. Also, maybe some other freepers can help.

Soros owned candidates cover the political spectrum... he plans to control the last branch of government one way or another...

Maybe enough people will figure out that Congress more than ever needs to become the representative of the people and that is the only way to stave off a complete SOROS political takeover.

We have not lost yet, there is still a Congress to elect and we lived through a Conservative Congress that at minimum kept the Clintons at least in check. The House is the peoples representative and that is where every nickle and dime becomes a tax or fee and ever dollar is allocated. The Senate is where judges and appointees get approved... Without a Soros bought and paid for Congress a SOROS bought and paid for president can be controlled.

Well, you're right. There is some chance for hope if we get good people into Congress. I, however, live in MA so I have John Kerry and Ted Kennedy in the Senate, and I have similar people in the US House, and I have Deval Patrick as my governor.

I'm not happy with the situation.

I can sure understand your displeasure. What I literally discovered during Clintonism was 'faith' and not even SOROS can destroy that. I rely upon that promise that I will never leave you nor forsake you.. if... So while the majority of the people of this nation appear to be willing to fall for deception it would have only taken 10 believers to have saved Sodom and Gomorrah and I do not think we are there yet.
