They have to go across the street to a temple...a man of the people? I think not. Would this be the Synagogue on 51st Street? If so, they live but a block away from where Loeb (of Leopold and Loeb infamy) used to live.

LOL!!! Well stated.
One of those spouses got himself impeached too! Is a military loathing draft dodger, anti-American Viet Nam war protester, held in contempt of court, lost his law license for five years, lies even when he doesn't need to, and can't keep his mouth or pants zipped.

"Michelle Obama: First Time In My Adult Lifetime I Am Really Proud Of My Country"
ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY at its finest. Now that being "First Lady" is in sight for her, NOW she's proud of her country.
I'm so tired of these "Yeah, I'll love my country as long as it gives me something" people.
Well, look around, find another country in the world that will give you the total, precious gift that America offers...Freedom.
Change her name from Michelle to Cynthia McKinney-Obama

“...the very foundations of our great American traditions and values....”
That is the entire point.
Of course there will be individuals along the way and things will be done that we don’t like.
But when you talk about our “country” what are you talking about? I think of our founding ideals. I doubt that Michelle even understands what they are.
Anyone who knows the foundation of this country, and who is not profoundly, humbly, reverently, overwhelmed with an almost unbearable flood of pride.....
Well, I can say many many many many bad things about such a person. But let me just say one. That person has absolutely no business whatsoever seeking to take up residence in our White House.

Thank you for your excellent points. I'm wondering however, if Mrs. Obama was speaking on the entire spectrum and history of American values and traditions, or was she narrowly focusing on current aspects and the phenomenal response her husband's campaign has received from voters?
I am extremely blessed to be born in America because of her shining beacon of liberty and the brave and courageous men and women who sacrificed all so that we became free and remain free.

My husband agrees with you. However, I saw the t.v. news (probably Fox) before he did, and commentators were wondering if what Michelle said would harm Obama's election results.
I would swear that she said "America." Why? Because this is one of my pet peeves - We are the United States of America!
It's not too far-fetched to believe that what she originally said was edited for later newscasts.
