A nice-sounding bill called the "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.
Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has not endorsed either Senator Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton in the presidential race. But on Thursday, February 14, he is trying to rush Obama’s “Global Poverty Act” (S.2433) through his committee. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends.

It won’t pass. By the time you figure up all the bridges and interstates in the US which need to be replaced...there is no money really left for stuff like this. So I’ll doubt that he gets more than 20 votes in the senate....and it’ll die out real quick in the house.
Obama is already trying to make the US more like the third world.
Did you notice that picture of him on that webpage?!!
Prayer position and aura!!! Where are the objections and outrage!!
Is there anyone left in Washington who cares about the USA first?

Religious lefties amaze me.
Jesus did NOT put a sword to people’s throats to make them give to the poor.
When he saw the poor woman give the very last of her money to the temple donation box, he did nothing immediate to help her. He extolled her giving heart, and I am certain God had a reward for this woman.
But that’s because “God loves a cheerful giver”, not one who gives by compulsion or by threat of force.
This guy is a wack job! I can’t believe that he is even a contender! What is wrong with the American people that are supporting him? I am afraid that the country that we grew up in is almost gone and I don’t know if we can get it back. I feel sorry for my sons.
I feel sorry for those fighting for our country right now. They are watching us fiddle...
Not yours to give

Time to send this reminder to every congress critter.
I'm sure he's all for it...
Biden; A most willing TRAITOR!!
If that is not an effort to exploit religion etc. I don’t know what is? Many fussed about a cross in the background of one republican candidate and no one has said one word about this pic? Couple that with the article about the bill on ‘world poverty’ and we have the next messiah!
Um, that isn't the point. The point is precisely that Obama is sponsoring it and that is headline news. I wonder how many sh!thole countries and their leader-dictators are sending in contributions for Obama Hussein right now?

“there is no money really left for stuff like this”
I like your optimism but when did not having enough money become important in the Senate????
