Groups of youths torched schools and cars in a sixth consecutive night of violence across Denmark, mostly in immigrant neighborhoods, police said Saturday. Forty-three people were arrested.
The spate of vandalism started last weekend, and some believe it intensified with the reproduction of a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers Wednesday.
The unrest spread across Denmark, with youths torching dozens of cars and buildings and lobbing rocks at police and firefighters in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Ringsted, Slagelse and other cities, officials said.
Police said they were not sure what triggered the unrest. Some observers said immigrant youths were protesting against perceived police harassment, and they suggested the reprinting of the cartoon may have aggravated the situation.
More than a dozen Danish newspapers on Wednesday reprinted a cartoon that sparked massive protests in Muslim countries two years ago — a gesture of solidarity after police revealed an alleged plot to kill the cartoonist.

Keep repeating that Islam is a religion of peace, and that electing someone whose middle name is Hussein to the presidency of the United States isnt a bad idea..
“Youths” is at least a correct term, I suppose. It struck me that often times using “undocumented worker” is just bad reporting. The journalist probably has no idea whether the people he is writing about have a job or not. He does know they are in America illegally, but is unwilling to say that.
Technically Danish youths, just enough for a misleading headline.

Earlier the Danish government cancelled a diplomatic mission to Iran after refusing Iran’s demand not to publish the Motoons. I don’t see this directly referenced as a reason for this “hard to explain” unrest by “youths” but the Danes are standing up for freedom. See how “tolerant” these youths are, Archbisop of Cantebury?

I’m part Danish, and these are no “Danish Youths.” They may live in Denmark but that doesn’t make them Danes.

odd. the press there does not seem to be under the complete control of certain islamic factions, as it is here in the US.
Great point. I was thinking exactly the same thing as the youths in question were from “immigrant neighborhoods” which basically means that they were not technically Danish youths. This illustrates the difference between nationality based on State residence (which was employed by the editors of the article) & that of nationality based on ethnic origins which is virtually ignored by the press.
Somehow I doubt picture a bunch of blond haired youths doing this.

I think the only hope for Western Civilization is to realize the scourge that is Islam, and deal with it accordingly. We have been nations that welcome those that wish to live as we do. This is no longer the case. They are coming to force US to live as we do. I fear nothing short of rounding them up and sending them back will work.
