Here's an example of how schools should be treating diversity in their schools. Perhaps this kind of example can help prevent incidents like the murder that happened in Oxnard, California.
CNN interviews Kim Pearson of Trans Youth Family Advocates about an eight-year-old transgender-identified child who is returning to a school in Douglas County, Colorado that has adjusted its facilities and teaching environment to accommodate her.
According to CNN, two unisex bathrooms have been provided for the student, teachers will call the student by her name, parents and teachers will get info on transgender people, and officials will be made available for questions.
The school released this statement: "We continue to be focused on providing a positive learning environment for this student and all students in the class and school that is free from harassment. As with many other students, this particular student brings a diverse set of circumstances to the school setting."

I knew a girl when I worked years ago in Manhattan who claimed she was a tomboy when growing up in Cuba. Since she lived in NYC now of course the culture fully accepted her as a ‘lesbian’ and sent her on her screwy way.
She lived this lifestyle for years and then eventually came to the belief she was transsexual. She was considering having her breasts removed, and taking hormones to be more ‘male’. The fact was that she was a woman, and to my mind actually thought and behaved like one, was convinced she was ‘male’.
She came from Cuba during the 50’s, her family was rich and lost everything over there, (Fidel Castro) so she and her brother came to the U.S., NYC to be exact. She told me over there many girls engage in lesbian affairs in their early years, before being with a man, ‘it’s no big deal’. From that she decided she was a lesbian. From the city lifestyle she made the jump to transsexual.
She was always unahappy with her life, and though I pointed out to have her breasts removed would only mutilate her natural phsyique she pined to do it but couldn’t afford it.
She eventually went insane. This is not made up, she heard voices in the heating vents in her apartment and behaved in a paranoid way. Totally unhappy case.
I really think the ‘lifestyle’ of lesbianism messes up these girls for good, there is no escape from it. They get in during their early years, some are told immediately ‘oh that’s okay, that’s who you are’ and are pointed to this lifestyle. Their actions then so confuse them as to who they really are it becomes too difficult to gain any insight as to what their real problem is. I think it’s probably true many nice girls are lost to this lifestyle. Very sad. These are people who need real help.
screwed up parents
How in the world does an 8 year old become transgendered without some kind of really nasty parental units?
How do you teach your kid to be transgendered, and above all-—WHY?
I need some help here, as I’m hopelessly perplexed. What is a transgender 8-Year-Old?

Being a native of California, I completely understand your distaste for us. I find a lot of Californians repulsive, and I must apologize on their behalf for screwing up the states around us, like NV, AZ, OR, WA.
Regardless some whackos seem to be able to screw up their own states without input from the Moonbeam demonrats from California.
No, it’s Colorado.
Reading more than just the first sentence is always a good idea.

I bet this is more a Munchausen Syndrom case.
The mother induces a mental illness and “supports” the treatment.
a leftist feakshow childabuse.
I don't know a lot about what goes on the head of a kid like this, nor do I know what all is involved in the "sex change". Still, I can't imagine it would be that bad to keep him as a boy until he's mature enough to actually think this thing through. In the meantime, let him dress in gender-neutral clothes, adopt a non-masculine nickname, whatever. But don't send him past the point of no return like this. What if he changes his mind in 10 years? What if he does end up happier as a woman, but has to live with the scars of being the special, officially-segregated "freak" in grade school?
It's just sad. I don't see how anyone could support this, let alone parents and teachers.
As long as the tea set was used to serve poison to communists, then all is well. :-)
Our son was cuddling one of our daughter’s baby dolls to his chest. My wife said, “Hon - he’s cuddling a baby doll. Should we be worried?”
I said, “No he’s not. He’s field-dressing a wounded soldier while waiting for the chopper.”
It’s all in how you look at it.
Beause in the eyes of secular government nannies, forcing perverted transgenderism on an 8 year-old isn’t child abuse.
Religious homeschooling is.
Up is down, good is evil...
You added “whiskey” to your “tea”, right?
If the State of Wyoming could scoot a bit further North on the map......we would.
You are absolutely right. It is heartbreaking.

At eight years old this child has not any knowledge of what it means to be either sex so how can this child make an informed decision on gender?
What is going on with these parents and why isnt anyone considering this?
*************
By the time children are two to three years of age, they know to which gender they belong. Undoubtedly, this child was very insistent about it. There is always a chance the child will change their mind. However, it will be the child doing it on their own. I do not believe the child can be forced to change their mind.
I do not doubt the child already has a therapist. The most a therapist can do is let the child talk about their feelings. Psychotherapy has not been successful in changing gender identity, it is only an aid to maintaining the stability of the patient, while the patient explores their own personality. If the gender identity issue does not reverse itself, the only function of a therapist is to give support and guidance.
“If the State of Wyoming could scoot a bit further North on the map......we would.”
And then you’d be Canada. How, exactly, would that improve things? ;)
Strikes me as a bit young to make that identification...
I wonder just how much external pressure there is, versus the internal pressure that I’ve known in a couple of friends with that issue. Methinks we all need to pray for this child.
I think it was Kool Aid. Regardless, I NEVER extended my pinkie!
