HE needs a conservative, not an affirmative action pick.
One, I don’t think she’d want it. My strong impression is that she’s fulfilled her service to the country and would like to do something else.
Two, I think, honestly, that her star has really faded during W’s second term.
But that’s just my opinion.
Dubya’s, what say you?
If this happens, sure as hell some nitwit on the Today show is going to ask, “Is this country ready for a black woman as vice-president?”
I doubt Condi will accept this position. Like so many others in the current administration, she probably can’t wait to get out of office and out of the public eye...
I might believe it when I see it.
A Rice Prez? Is that a new snack?
“Republican McCain believes Afro-American Condi could be his secret weapon”
LOL. McCain/Afro-American Condi ‘08.
What a silly paper.
Condi wandered off the rez a bit while at State, but then again State is a pan-Arabist left wing foggy swamp. She has to work with them and can’t help but be influenced by them.
Lately, she’s been coming back to the fold. For example, she just seriously PO’d Putin.
She is brilliant. Frankly don’t care about her gender or race except for the political considerations.
She has said or at least implied that she doesn’t want VP, but I can’t see her turning down the chanceto make history. Think I’d vote for that ticket.
PS McCain still sucks, but not as much as Hillary or Obama.
It would help the womens vote a bit, but then you might as well pick a white woman.
***Presidential wannabe John McCain***
Author’s cool in my book.
I do not think so, this report is crap.
Janice Rogers Brown and maybe we can talk...
I just voted for her as VP on the Newsmax poll. It would be a good ticket. She’s single, I can’t see her turning it down to pursue....what? She’s brilliant, tough, and respected. She just might grab it if offered.
One more reason not to vote McCain.
Bad idea. She won’t bring one extra vote to the ticket, she will drive even more voters away. If he must bring a black American aboard to counter Obama, J.C. Watts would be a good choice. Heck, give Lynn Swann a shot, he’s got as much experience as Obama at governing. lol
I hope this is just a wild rumor ... Rice has never run for public office, seems to have adopted the wishy-washy State Department line on the Middle East and will give the Democrats more opportunity to turn the election into a referendum on the Bush administration. Beyond that, choosing Rice based on her skin color looks like, and is, pure pandering. If the Republicans try to play catch-up in the diversity competition, they’ll inevitably lose.
“Polls say Obama would whip McCain by 50 per cent?”
Typo?
“”Polls say Obama would whip McCain by 50 per cent if they went head to head now.”” I thought all these republicans were voting for McCain cause he could win? What will they say when they see the polls where he is way behind?
Stupid move.......if that is his reason .
