As Schwarzenegger (and to some extent Bush) has proven, he will do it at a FASTER RATE as all Republican opposition will be silenced and arms will be twisted to go-along-to-get-along.

The enemy within can do much more damage than the one you face with all your might.

Not necessarily at a slower rate than the overt socialists, and not just by direct action. Our enemies would take heart at signs of Republican weakness and redouble their efforts.
