TOP 10 REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN
Don Feder's Cold Steel Caucus ^ | 02/14/2008 | Don Feder

Posted on 02/16/2008 1:49:07 PM PST by Witch-king of Angmar

I just got back from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., where conservatives began lining up behind a man who’s been sticking it to us for years. By a process of self-hypnosis, many have managed to convince themselves that McCain is actually one of us.

Not for nothing did Benjamin Disraeli call conservatives the stupid party.

What part of John McCain do we not get? McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Edwards -- among other socialist, anti-speech, open-borders, enviro-Marxist measures he’s co-sponsored with the hardcore left of the Democratic Party over the years.

If Il Duce had served with him in the United States Senate, there would be McCain-Mussolini.

If by your post you mean to either not vote, or vote for some third party candidate, then you will be voting for whomever the DimocRAT nominee is. While there are many things about JM I do not like, I will not vote in such a way as to turn over our military to the likes of the Dim appeasers to our enemies.

Yeah, I heard you. You would rather turn over this country’s miltary to those who will work to appease our enemies and weaken this country in the process. Great choice you’re making. With several family members who are either in harms way, or will be in harms way before the end of this year, I will vote for the man who will not undermine our nation’s military - John McCain. To vote otherwise is to abandon these brave men and women.

You truly believe that it will be easier to fight a Dim in the WH with a Dim controlled House and Senate? What planet are you living on? I’m voting McCain, and the only reason I will cast my ballot for him are the 140,000 soldiers who are in Iraq, and the however many in Afghanistan. To do otherwise will result in their being abandoned by either the Witch or the Traitor.

On the issue of amnesty, yes.

As a matter of principle and conscience, I cannot vote for anyone who advocates amnesty for the 12 to 20 million illegals. If amnesty passes, the country will be destroyed and it is irrevocable. I won't be complicit in the destruction of my own country.

Yes you will. By the very nature of your act against JM, you will be voting for amnesty. You believe that not supporting McCain will thus result in no amnesty? Wake up. With a GOP POTUS working with the minority party (also GOP) we have a better chance of turning this issue to our favor than we do with a Dim POTUS and a congress controlled by RATS. Your voice against amnesty has a better chance to resonate through the ears of McCain, as opposed to no chance to even reach the ears of a Hitlery or Obama. If you fail to vote for McCain you will be voting for amnesty by your inaction.

No, I just cannot vote for someone who supports a policy that will destroy this country. It is called voting on the basis of principle and conscience. I spent four days each in FL and SC driving nearly 2000 miles dogging the McCain campaign protesting amnesty, including standing in the rain and cold and being roughed up on one occasion by some of McCain's goons.

I cannot go into a voting booth and vote for McCain. It is a personal decision. You can vote anyway you want. I am not trying to convince you to not to vote for McCain nor do I demean your vote or cast personal aspersions. Give me the same respect. My one vote is not going to decide this election.

All three favor amnesty. It will be easier to fight it if a Dem is in the WH because there will be no pressure from the WH on the Reps to vote for amnesty. It will also make the Dems totally responsible and accountable for the consequences, something they don't want. In 2006 a Rep controlled Senate with a Rep President in the WH passed amnesty [S. 2611]. It was the Rep controlled House that stopped it.

In any event, I will not vote for McCain under any circumstances as a matter of principle. My one vote is not going to decide this election, but it is something that I have to live with. I just won't be complicit in the destruction of my country.

FYI: I attended a presentation by Roy Beck last night. We are heading for a dangerous period in the next few weeks as both parties are talking behind the scenes about passing legislation that will provide 5 year visas to illegal workers currently in the country. Roy urged everyone to contact their folks in Congress to express our disapproval. This is going to be a constant battle as the powerful forces for amnesty will continue to push for it either piecemeal or comprehensively. The nomination of McCain has emboldened the Dems and some RINOs to pursue amnesty now since it appears that there are no political consequences for supporting it.

I will NOT be voting McCain.

I will also not be voting for any other Demoncrats, Hillary or the Obomination.

We will NOT be voting!

YOU vote for a Democrat. YOu have your choice, McCain, Hitlery or the Oblomination.

Do me a favor, STOP the nonsense of a NO VOTE for anyone morphs into a vote for Hitlery or the Obomination. NOT voting for anyone is just that - NOT VOTING FOR ANYONE!

“Sure it is. Keep telling yourself that. Perhaps you’ll one day believe it.”

I do NOT need to “deny” that McCain is just another Demoncrat.

I do NOT need to “deny” that when we do NOT vote, we are NOT voting for either Demoncrat - whether it be the Obomination, Hitlery or McCain. This IDIOTIC liberal logic doesn’t work.

YOU can tell yourself, through LIBERAL LOGIC this is so. As for us, it’s worn out. Scare tacitcs don’t work. Atleast be honest and acknowldge that a NO VOTE is a NO VOTE for ANY candidate.

McCain isn’t good enough for our vote.

Got it?

Yeah, I got it. You’re willing to cast aside 140,000 plus soldiers fighting for your right to act like a spoiled child who didn’t get the exact toy he wanted for Christmas. As for me, I won’t abandon them by throwing a vote away, or by not voting at all. But, you do what your consciense tells you to do.

My theory was that TOO many conservatives were running, with a couple of “moderate” voices (Giuliani and McCain). Thompson, Hunter, Tancredo, Romney, Huckabee, all were competing against one another for the conservative vote, and of course it split. McCain was the sole moderate after Florida, so when conservatives polled in single digits or low numbers, they started to drop one by one. It was just too many conservatives in the race, in effect cancelling each other out in the end.

Hillary will deliver us the most politically correct, anti white male, feminazi regime of all time. Everything will be “women” this and that, and “the children.” She will put bull dykes on the Supreme Court like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who will turn the SC a severe left turn. Her cabinet will all look like America, if most American women looked like Janet Reno. We will have corruption and embarassment to our nation with further sex scandals from her husband, and further eroding of our borders and BELIEVE me, she will legalize all the illegals here right now with nary a slap on the wrist. Hillary is dangerous as president, while McCain will be a pain in the ass sometimes.

By that time (2010) comes, Hillary will put several bull dyke, liberal women on the Supreme Court, she will initiate nanny state legislation, go after several big companies, strengthen NAFTA free trade, allow more illegals into this country and basically keep the border open, and create such international chaos we all could be in danger of another terrorist attack. Plus her husband, mark my words, will be in MORE sex scandals, further embarassing us as a nation. Hillary is INTOLERABLE and should never be elected dog catcher.

Good morning.

Not necessarily at a slower rate than the overt socialists, and not just by direct action. Our enemies would take heart at signs of Republican weakness and redouble their efforts.

If we summed up all of the votes, funding, and volunteers for the conservative candidates (Tancredo, Hunter, Brownback, and the two Thompsons) it was a very low number. I still think that the conservative movement has become weaker. We have to rebuild our political strength from the bottom up. I think purposely LOSING elections is NOT the way to build influence.

NO guilt trip here.

No name calling will change my PRINICPLES that YOU have decided to abandon. There comes a time, when PRINICPLE must be stood by. Now is that time. We’ve held our nose before as we ditifully voted for RHINO’S, Dole another “entitled” canidate, Bush Sr., Bush Jr. etc.. All this has accomplished is having MORE RHINO’s come along as candidates. It’s time to make a stand on PRINCIPLE - the “big tent” was always a joke. We don’t want to be part of YOUR “big tent”.

Tough love is called for - NOT voting for more RHINO’s and sending the GOP a MESSAGE. If they don’t get it, then it’s time to register as an Independent. The ONLY reason we still remian registered as Republicans is because in our state you must be registered to vote for the party. Otherwise we would have registered as Independents a long time ago. We were hoping to influence the primary.

Eventually, even you may get to the point where

ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

After Carter, people were thrilled to vote for a REAL REPUBLICAN. I suspect the same witll be true again when the Demoncrats, McCain included ... when one of the gets the WH. Prinoiples must come in to play - even in your life. It has in ours.

If people want to twist their minds like a pretzel to justify voting for the LIBERAL, DEMONCRAT, McCain - so be it! We won’t be voting for ANYONE. None of them are even close to our PRINIPLES. Past compromises on PRINCIPLES have lead to McCain - the WORST candidate ever for the GOP.
