A convert to Islam stands an election victory away from becoming the second Muslim elected to Congress and a role model for a faith community seeking to make its mark in national politics.
Political newcomer Andre Carson is the Democratic nominee in a March 11 special election to succeed his late grandmother, Julia Carson, representing Indiana's 7th District. She died in December of lung cancer, and her grandson is seeking to fill out the rest of her sixth term, which expires at year's end.
If Andre Carson wins the Democratic-leaning Indianapolis district over a freshman Republican legislator and a long shot Libertarian candidate, he would join Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., as the only Muslims elected to Congress.

I believe the vast majority of the current armed conflicts throughout the world involve Muslims attacking their non-Muslim neighbors.
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Christianity is being attacked daily, while islam and secularism are protected and defended. Yes, what has happened to Europe can happen here in America if freedom loving Americans don't wake up!

Because there are something like 280 million Christians (or at least people who view themselves as Christian) in the USA. There are, what, 3 or 4 million Muslims here (and many of those aren’t jihadists). Sorry, I just think we’re gonna win this one.

Agreed. They are disgusting and not worthy of the title "Lady" by any stretch of the imagination.
Obama is nothing more than a crazy liberal and baby killing supporter.
I would wish to very politely suggest that he is in fact far worse. Based upon what few substantive things he's said, his voting record and his wife's speeches, I would have no problems with openly calling him a Marxist.
But I do believe if he were to win he will not last long. I really believe some nut job will attempt to take him out and then all hell is going to break loose.
If done prior to the election, it will insure his victory over ANY Republican challenger and probably insure two terms for him as well as carte blanche for any spending or taxation programs he could possibly dream up.
How could anyone possibly object to anything said or proposed by a black Presidential candidate who has just dodged an assassin's bullet?

It is no secret what their intent is. What I don't understand is why we are allowing it!
