Al Qaeda's latest display of terror has made its way onto the Internet, showing horrifying images of what appear to be prisoners in Iraq being doused with an inflammatory liquid and then burned alive.
-snip-
As he speaks, two of the insurgents pour liquid on the blindfolded prisoners. Then they push the bound men into the pit, where they are engulfed in flames.

You're right! Somehow I kept reading him as being part of the Code Pink crowd, instead of the counter-protest.
Jay Leno is on the phone looking for you.
Something to think about the next time they want to build a Mosque in your town...
More importantly..........he cannot be trusted to uphold his sworn oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
Where’s the outrage from the left???
Yeah but what you say makes too much sense for some folks.
>>Those who carry I support the insurgency protest signs at American rallies have blood on their hands.
They support war criminals.<<
Are there really Americans that stupid?
That’s beyond even what I’ve encountered.
>>If I had my way, McCain and all the anti-torture types would be strapped into The Comfy Chair, their heads restrained so they couldnt look way from the screen, and their eyelids glued open so they couldnt close em, then they would be forced to watch the Islamic best of videos of beheadings, burnings, bombings, torture and general mayhem for 24 hours straight.
I bet we can make them see that the people were fighting are worse than beasts, and that the worst we can do them is far less than what they deserve.<<
There I do disagree with you.
The Japanese and the Nazis were horrifically evil and inhuman too.
We were able to preserve our character and constitution in the face of fighting those enemies as well the Soviets.
When we have resorted to tactics that are not worthy of America we have inevitably come to regret it.
they are only outraged if islamic terrorists kill gay people.
you know...they support deviancy until it interferes with another form of deviancy
We were so upset about Bush and fighting amongst ourselves pre-election 2006 that we actually forgot we had a Congress and Senate to defend. It’s no surprise we would see this video only hours after the so-called “torture” of terrorists all but became illegal under the democrat controlled congress
please remove me from ping.

Thanks Dajjal.
Yup, sounds about right.

I agree. We should always be above the horrific, inhuman evil actions that others engage in, and I thought we always were. That's why I don't understand this recent advocating of torture. I believe it's wrong when anyone does it.
done
Thanks very much for pinging me to this thread Dajjal and for your links. Thank for posting, Red in Blue PA.
Education BUMP!
The Nazis and Nips had nations and infrastructures we could attack - and did. We bombed hell out them without an iota of concern for “innocent” civilians caught in the rain of steel.
We waged unrestricted submarine warfare against the Japanese merchant marine viturally wiping it out. When we got in range of the main islands we burned their cities to the ground and finished up with nukes.
We were also reading their mail, so we didn’t need to torture anyone.
Finally, at least with the Germans, we had a mutual agreement with them regarding the treatment of prisoners. Failure to treat enemy prisoners would result in retaliation on our own POWs.
This is NOT the case with Al Qaeda; we don’t have these options. Al Qaeda consists bandits and pirates - they enemies of all mankind. Any soldier who falls into their hands will be beheaded or worse.
We need to know where they are, what they have, and what they are planning, and if torture works, we should use it - gleefully.
Finally, we need to raise the cost of being a jihadi so high that a father will kill his own son rather than risk him bringing down the wrath of the Americans on him and his family.
