As a McCain supporter.. I am really starting to respect Romney now.. he has shown leadership dropping out of the race and now this.

I think I can support him in the future. He’s showing leadership here.. and decisiveness. As a Mormon, I’m starting to feel proud of him.

You’re the one posting that Romney is using a Reagan strategy, not me. This endless equating of Romney to Reagan has no basis in fact. And it IS an insult to the Reagan legacy. Btw, Nancy Reagan was a Republican for years and helped to get her “Ronnie” to join the GOP. But Mrs. Reagan was never a conservative at any time.

maybe he's also a Reagan man.

I guess so. Or else maybe we will be able to say “I told you so, next November or earlier when McCain crashes and burns for the sixth time. I will not watch any debates as I consider watching HRC to be torture, and a match-up of the charismatic preacher vs the old codger would approach torture.

It also sounds like he’s really no fan of Huckabee.

Does that make him a Bigot?

Ah, the flip-flopper remains true to this tradition: "I'm against John McCain. I run attack ads against him. I endorse McCain."

Doncha love it at least when a candidate is consistently inconsistent in the name of political expediency?

Stop comparing Romney to Reagan.

Both were tall...

This is too easy :)

Well how do ya Romney backers feel about your boy now?

Well, I voted for Romney here in Tennessee, though only after Thompson and Hunter dropped out. They were my preferred candidates. As for Romney's support for McCain, what can I say? There was no one left other than Huckabee, who had insulted Romney's faith, and Paul, whom he obviously couldn't support.

If I had been Mitt I'd have just told my delegates they were free to vote their conscience, but party loyalty is a powerful thing and virtually every Republican will eventually endorse McCain because he's part of the club.

If you're asking me if I can intellectually (as opposed to politically) justify Romney endorsing McCain, the answer is "no".

My opinion about Romney comes form the facts of his life long record in support of liberal issues and liberal causes. Like his life long support for Roe v Wade.

Willard is not a man of principles and is without convictions.

There is no maybe about it ... If you even remotely thought of the prospect of supporting Obama... or even believe his messages is valid

then you have been assimilated... Obama stands for NOTHING... Moveon has endorsed him he is the candidate of Projection and like I said if you have projected onto him your desires.. then I assume Obama becomes the very Conservative that you want to see in the race...

However, his record is undeniable he is 100 percent liberal.. his plans and support staff are nanny state socialists.... in other words even if Obama himself believed the Yes we can crap that he was selling he couldn’d do it.. his puppet master won’t let him...

LOL Romney is a Romney man.

Back when he was a liberal independent, Romney opposed the Reagan agenda of the 1980`s. He also opposed the Contract With America and the Republican Party to boot. Don’t be hoodwinked any further.

Mitt is not going to be a part of any fight to the convention floor. That’s what he said. That’s what he does.

Definitely a class act, and no, I am not voting for McCain.

Slit a vein or vote McCain?

$$$$$

That looks like a terrific tagline for the next nine months.

A slogan I can go with now. As an early adopter of Romney. I knew that Fred Thompson could not make the grade, and the principled positions of Duncan Hunter would make him a good cabinet officer but not CEO.

I never dreamed that the Republican Establishment would solidify around McCain, but now I know that Beltway Establishment trumps principle every time, no matter which party is under discussion.

It’s the truth.

being honest is not wrong:

Galatians 2:10-12 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain

10 Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

Paul “blamed” Paul for being a hypocrite. I do the same toward Romney. He is a stinking liberal, and he does support McCain, who works in the beltway, although he wanted us to believe otherwise.

The fact is, he lied to us. If you want to accept that, then go ahead. I call it what it is.
