Former Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee is endorsing Democratic Sen. Barack Obama. The Rhode Islander told The Associated Press he is endorsing Obama in a conference call Thursday. Chafee left the Republican Party last year and became an independent. He was one of the Senate's most liberal Republicans before he lost his seat in 2006 to Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse.
Weren’t Lincoln Chaffee and McCain pals? I know they were voting buddies, cause they sure seemed to vote similarly an awful lot. :D I wonder what McCain did to ole Mr. Chaffee?
He’s in good company with a large contingent of FReepers who have also decided to skip down the street following the Obama ice cream truck....
(be sure to have plenty of money with you, kids)
lol
Is there anybody up there in Rhode Island that cares what this whacko says?
Lincoln Chafee: And I said, I don’t care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I’m, I’m quitting, I’m going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they’ve moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn’t bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it’s not okay because if they take my stapler then I’ll set the building on fire...
Then, other RINOs will join him — Olympia Snowejob, others.
Finally, ultimate RINO McCain will drop out of the race entirely and endorse B. Hussein.
What a revolting year 2008 is turning out to be.
Obama should just admit it is true so that even more Modern Liberals will vote for him over Hillary.
You may not recognize the name because he changed it to “Lincoln Chapstick.”
I believe you have my stapler? Mm?
Yeah, Chafee! I’m so happy that the National Republican Senatorial Committee spent all that money in 2006 attacking Chafee’s moderate-to-conservative Republican challenger, Steve Laffey, and then trying to prop up Chafee in the general (where he lost by a wide margin) instead of supporting George Allen in VA and Conrad Burns in MT, who lost by less than 1% each.
John Ensign is a good man and a solid conservative Senator, but I have not sent the NRSC a dime since it spent all that money attacking Pat Toomey in 2004, and I likely will never contribute to it ever again. It’s a shame that we can’t have an organization that can be trusted to spend campaign money wisely to ensure a Republican majority, so we all have to send money to individual candidates that may or may not need the contributions.
Is that the truck with the sign “The Audacity of Dope”?
“An Illinois man claims homosexual sex and drugs with Barack Obama in 1999 while Obama was a state legislator. The guy says he is willing to take a polygraph and challenges Obama to do the same.”

Wonder if Mike Rogers from Blogactive(homosexual activist that only goes after Republicans) will ‘out’ Obama? (eye roll)
Rhode Island twit.
Think of all the money the RNC wasted on him in the last election.
In the immortal words of “neon Deion” Sanders:
“Both”
I'd guess for the same reason General Benedict Arnold sold out to the Brits.
...*spite*.
LMAO!
For all the wrong reasons.
Chaffee is from the McCain wing of the Republican Party, where Liberal Republican is not good enough. They really want a Liberal Democrat. See also Olympia Snowe.
The right reason to want Obama is to avoid having to oppose a Liberal Republican for 4 years who will destroy the Party, and because Obama will be easy to oppose and stymie.
