John 15:18-25 Wednesday, February 13th, in the year of our Lord 2008 First let me say that I am not happy that I have been put in a position where I have to interrupt the series on the Gospel of John. But, what Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other talking head pundits have done this year is not only beneath contempt and disgust but requires a Scriptural response as well. They have, in my humble opinion, proven who it is that they serve, and it is not the God of truth, but the father of all liars.
There was a time when one could turn the dial to Rush Limbaugh and/or Sean Hannity and expect to hear the truth. There was a time when listening to either got you an honest evaluation of individuals and especially candidates. That has changed, as both have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they can and will lie to prevent a true servant of Christ from occupying the oval office.
While I am disappointed in both of these legends in their own minds, I am especially upset at and disappointed in Rush Limbaugh. I would not have believed that he would sink to the level of vicious lies coming out of his mouth, making Romney (one of the most liberal governors in the history of the most liberal state of Massachusetts) a conservative, while at the same time doing everything in his power to paint Conservative Christian Pastor Mike Huckabee as a liberal. From Sean Hannity and others, I am disappointed, but not all that surprised. But in Rush, it goes past just disappointment. It goes to having to re-evaluate my thinking about his honesty over the years. With Rush it is more than simple disappointment, it borders on disgust. I always expected more of him, and I have been proven, by him, to be wrong in my high estimation of him and his honesty.
If I were talking to Pastor Mike Huckabee this morning, I would remind him of what Jesus warned us about in John 15:
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, ‘The servant is not greater than his Lord.’ Since they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they had kept My saying, they would keep yours also.
But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not Him that sent Me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no covering for their sin. He that hates Me hates My Father also.
If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE. (John 15:18-25 ACP/KJV)
Those who serve satan hate Pastor Huckabee because they hate Christ. Had they never read or even claimed to read the word of God, they would be blameless, but since they claim to be pro-life Christian conservatives who have read the word of God, their sin lies at their door and within their hearts.
But, I would continue and remind Pastor Huckabee of this passage as well:
And He (God) said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.
And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham (age 99) and Sarah (age 89) were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?’
Is any thing too hard for the LORD?
At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son! (Genesis 18:10-14 ACP/KJV)
Then I would ask Pastor Mike; “Reverend Mike, which do you think it would be harder for God to do, make you President or cause an 89 year old woman to not only give birth to a perfectly happy, healthy baby boy, but breast feed him and cause her to live till he was 37 years old?”
To all of you who are getting a bit disappointed and down at the mouth, let me remind you of how God likes to fight political wars.
Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley. And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against Me, saying, “Mine own hand hath saved me.” Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, “Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead.”

Mike, If I’m right, you still have too many working for you and not enough against you for God to deliver the presidency into your hands. You still have to many Bob Celestes and not enough Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannitys. For I do still believe that God is going to cause this election in November to be between you, a servant of the most High God and whichever of the two servants of satan that the democrats choose to run against you. I believe that this fight between you and McCain is nothing more than a warm up for the big fight of good against pure evil in November.
The Lord be with you my brother and may He give courage and strength to the men around you, let they, you, and I obey the command of the Lord in Job 40:7a. “Gird up thy loins now like a man”
And now, God willing I can get back to the Gospel of John.
And Lord, please let it be with those who attack our brother Mike as they try to make it be to our brother Mike. In the name of the Lord Christ Jesus I pray. Amen.

Schmuckabee is a Liberal. It's really not difficult. Just look at his record as governor.

I don't think he painted him as a liberal. He got into a personal skunk spraying contest with Huckabee's campaign (or possibly a strawman posing as Huckabee's campaign) and ended up saying that nominating Huckabee would "destroy the Republican party".
I don't like the way Rush treated Huckabee, even though Huckabee is flawed and deserving of criticism. I'm not sure about the word "conservative" anymore. Conservativism should describe a mindset or worldview, not an ideology. Conservatism has to be more than just a list of issues or ranking based on a voting record. To me "conservative" has never been merely the opposite of "liberal".
Jesus stated that money with Caesar's image belonged to Caesar. Money is the ultimate graven image/idol. Caesar would have marveled to see hour our Federal Reserve has perfected the technique of controlling so much more than 30% of what is owns.
Oh get a grip! Rush doesn’t hate Huckabee. He just told the truth about him with words from the governers own mouth. You aren’t lying about someone when you quote them.
Being a baptist and going to fawn over Copeland, one of the biggest thieves on the planet, in order to get charismatic votes is sickening.
Limbaugh has gone too far. He was not such a principled conservative when the Republican congress and Bush Administration drove our nation into debt on wasteful spending. He attacked Huckabee when he was ahead, and then he attacked McCain when he got the lead. Limbaugh loves Obama and wants him to be President. He may pretend as if he is joking, but he is an Obama supporter.
So-called conservatives like him will cost us the war on terror when the democrats take us back to the failed policies of the 90s.
I certainly have more respect for Huckabee and McCain than I do for that loudmouth. I will trust a man who gave up years of his life for the Uniited States over some guy who sits on ass for living, and speaks of subjects on which he has absolutely no knowledge, training, or education.

I have been thinking the same thing. My values have not changed, but I will not define myself as a conservative any more if the word is now a synonym for being a sore loser whiner that wants Obama to be President, rather than voting for an imperfect candidate that at least recoginizes the fact that we are at war.
You do not know Mike apparantly. Is it not written, “you shall know them by their fruits.” Huckabee is a basic liberal with the mantle of religious Christianity and took the side of the liberals who overan the southern baptists who have rejected the scriptures as the word of God.

If you’ve listened to Rush I dont think you can say Rush is supporting B Hussein Obama. The faux campaign commercials are quite entertaining.

Rush learned at the feet of his father and grandfather. They were professional men but NOT PHDs in the field of history, politics, morality and social issues, etc. They just cared about America and were mentally sharp and engaged on such matters.
Then, Rush became self-taught after he grew up and went out on his own. Nothing wrong with that.
You will not find anyone here who is rational who will fall for your absurd statement that Rush is actually FOR Barrack Obama. That is idiotic. You harm your own reputation.
Rush likes Mike Huckabee as a person but is very disturbed about his record in Arkansas and some of his machinations as a Presidential candidate.
He believes Huck is not a conservative, based on his record.

His opposition of McCain is support for Obama whether you acknowledge it or not. I will not sit at home and whine about McCain’s record when we have a socialist and communist going up against him.
I question whether somebody who will do nothing to prevent an Obama presidency has any concern for our country.

You have no understanding, not a speck of it, to come on here and claim that Rush is against our troops in Iraq (nobody, anywhere, has a higher claim to troop support than Rush...and our troops in harms way ADORE the guy) or wants Obama to be President.
It is all satire.
Rush illustrates absurdity by being absurd. He said Obama is popular because he says NOTHING at all but says it better than anyone else.
Therefore, he said with that in mind HE could just as well say HE is for Obama and believe that Obama can be anything each person wants him to be. The pro-aborts can be for Obama but so can the pro-lifers, etc. etc., because Obama at this point is a “state of mind” or “state of belief” to the supporters that stands for the supporters own wishes, dreams and desires, whatever they might be.
But Rush also said he knows Obama is the most liberal of all the candidates. So Obama’s time is coming when Rush will train his sights on the man’s actual scary, frightening positions on issues, including the economy and the role of government, but most especially Iraq and all national security issues.
If you are for real, and not a troll sent here to divide conservatives and hurt Rush, you need to get a grip, get real, grow up and stop this nonsense.
It only makes you sound like either an ill-informed child or a fool.
