There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.
Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.
There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.
His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.
The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.

I live by one rule: You reap what you sow. When others reap the good things I sow but I have to reap the bad things they sow it goes way beyond pissed off and into strategic contingency planning if my country I love becomes the French just prior to their last revolution. The political process of America driven by the almighty dollar is marching down the path of taxation without representation again.
Oh, now it’s “angry white man” instead of the usual “angry white male.” I have news for the unhealthy souls of Aspen and all like them. The angry white man is not hoping that Hillary will be nominated. Indeed, many of his fellows are actually supporting Obama in order to rebel against the feminized establishment. Others of his fellows will only spit/complain when politics is mentioned from now on.
It’s a great word indeed and I have only heard it used twice in the U.S. in my entire lifetime.
I agree with your sentiment but the value of currency is pretty much irrelevant because the same people screwing just print the damn money.

The point of my second part of my post really meant that dollars used by politicians to influence votes to re-elect thems causes an endless perpetual downward spiral in too many ways to mention here. Furthermore I don’t care about currency when I have no listening representatives squandering what I earn on nothingness. This is the major cause of revolutions for hundreds of years. I feel beyond pissed because I feel that either our enemies will finally wake us up, or that thing we call the U.S. government will be overthrown and not the easy way. Either way, freedom is not free and I do not want to see my countrymen perish for ideas of vanity through a corrupt political process or because we are a ‘sensitive’ culture.

I think that is because there just isn't as much fealty as there used to be.
Nor is there much of the word chivalry either for that matter.

Because I hear them rail about all the lib-inspired idioicies happening in the country but still vote for Dems because the Donkey Party has found that issue that resonates with them. Unions, health care, social security, you name it.
