Clinton counts on superdelegates
The Boston Globe ^ | February 13, 2008 | Susan Milligan

Hillary Clinton will take the Democratic nomination even if she does not win the popular vote, but persuades enough superdelegates to vote for her at the convention, her campaign advisers say.

The New York senator, who lost three primaries Tuesday night, now lags slightly behind her rival, Illinois Senator Barack Obama, in the delegate count. She is even further behind in "pledged'' delegates, those assigned by virtue of primaries and caucuses.

But Clinton will not concede the race to Obama if he wins a greater number of pledged delegates by the end of the primary season, and will count on the 796 elected officials and party bigwigs to put her over the top, if necessary, said Clinton's communications director, Howard Wolfson.

"I want to be clear about the fact that neither campaign is in a position to win this nomination without the support of the votes of the superdelegates,'' Wolfson ...

Clinton -- who initially joined other Democrats in opposing Michigan and Florida's decisions to go ahead with early primaries -- now wants the votes of those primaries counted. The Obama camp thinks that idea is unfair, since candidates were not allowed to campaign in those states, and Clinton alone kept her name on the Michigan ballot...

Hillary's pimpforce will merely remind the superdelegates
not only about the FBI files, but that they will be audited
by Hillary's goons in the IRS until each superdelegate
dies or is arkancided, if they DARE not vote for Hillary.

Does she care if she starts a race war?

So Hillary's strategy now is to rely on 796 treacherous Rat politicians and party bosses, who are already showing signs of abandoning her and jumping on Obama's band wagon?

Wow, her new campaign manager is a sheer genius!

No she doesn’t care if she starts a race war just as long as she wins. She wouldn’t care if an entire city or two burned to the ground.

So she talks about change. What the heck is change when she is in bed with the superdelegate cronies that she bought and paid for. She talks about 35 years of working for the people, balderdash, she's been working to get superdelegates. Talk about pimping.

I do believe that the democrat convention will be ripe for extraordinary challenges if Barako wins the popular vote and delegate count and her bitter ambitious nastiness will be exposed if she doesn't get this nomination.

Does the republican party have superdelegates? I never heard of these supers. This is all most undemocratic.

It's rather delicious, isn't it: the people and Party that has spent the last 7 years decrying Bush43 being "selected President" after an apparent split in the popular and electoral vote is now poised to have its nominee "selected" by an elitist group of "superdelegates" rather than the party rank and file in a situation where the nominee may not be the one who won the most primary votes or primary-elected delegates.

The figures are out there for how many states and delegates Obama and Billary have ... but how about how many total Dem primary votes?

I’ll bet the reminding was started a bit ago. the sheeple of this country have no idea JUST how ruthless the clintons are. the old mob godfathers or the hitler/stalin types had nothing on these two. at least most FReepers are on to these monsters.

Hmmm, interesting.

Notice how he double counts many of the ‘superdelegates’. The only reason H. is only slightly behind is from the ‘superdelegates’ that have already committed.

I wonder how long Hillary Clinton will remain in the Senate once she is denied the democratic nomination to be president? This is her only chance at the White House and if she is defeated now, will she finish out her term or retire??? She only ran for the Senate as a stepping stone to the presidency. Remember the reports of how she hated the daily life of a Senator.

"will she finish out her term or retire"

She will become the new Hubert Humphrey who runs and loses every 4 years and then she will morph into Ted Kennedy.

As Peggy Noonan recently said, the question of the moment is this: “Can Hillary Lose?” In other words, does Hillary know how to lose, and can she lose with dignity?

My guess: no.

Yep. She will lie, cheat, steal, bribe, threaten, and extort her way into the nomination.

And people here would rather sit home or vote third party than vote for McCain.
