I said no such thing. I said, “Those who don’t understand what principles are would never understand who the Religious Right is, either.”

I would hope you don’t fall into the category of not understanding what principles are.

You are really trying your best to start an argument that isn’t here. You are either not reading what I wrote, or you are totally illiterate. Read post #5 very carefully. Read it several times and make sure you follow carefully.

Same thing over and over. But I do understand how that can happen.

Long article. I did not read it all, but most.

Like the author, I also am from Dorchester, Massachusetts, a large neighborhood of Boston, and not a separate community.

My opinion of what I have been seeing called the “religious right” these days is that such a louse as Mike Huckabee can gain votes away from serious candidates because he is what (?) some sort of an Elmer Gantry?

I think that the expression “Render unto Ceaser that which is Ceaser’s” is not simply an admonition about money and taxes. it is about how we live our lives in a Godless world. Someday I'll write a book with lots of little words. Meanwhile, Y'all all can do some history reviewing on your own.

We live in a secular community, and if self described religious rightists want to demonstrate themselves as being separate from the community by voting for persons who are in accord with them on religious beliefs, but not in sync when it comes to the actual governing of society then they deserve what they get, marginalization.

Huckabee is a BS artist Liberal a la Jimmy Carter.

The Huckabee voters have given us McCain as the Republican nominee with their unholy (and unintended) alliance with the liberal media and shallow thinking voting lightweights around the country. "We don't vote for Mormons, and we don't vote for Northerners."

Thanks for not giving a crap about what really happens in the world while some of us have family fighting the good fight to protect this nation, and more.

I am convinced that many/most people revel in the bliss of ignorance, and that they are afraid of broadening their horizons with such endeavors as reading and studying.

Actually, the people who are responsible for McCain being the nominee are the people who voted for McCain.

No, We live in a Judeo-Christian community, fighting to retain its cultural identity within a raging storm of multi-culturalism. You will see how marginalized the Christians (and all conservatives) are come November.

The Huckabee voters have given us McCain as the Republican nominee with their unholy (and unintended) alliance with the liberal media and shallow thinking voting lightweights around the country. "We don't vote for Mormons, and we don't vote for Northerners."

The Huckabee voters were in the only place they could be and honor their commitment to the Pro-Life cause. There was no leading Pro-Life candidate, so they lifted up their own. Would that they had lifted up Hunter or Tancredo, or even Brownback instead, but the one they chose was Huckabee.

The reason Northeasterners are biased against is because of the inherent liberalism and "big city" thinking infecting the region. It is endemic. Not the sort of place that rugged individualist Conservatives come from.

As to the Mormon crap, quit being a crybaby. Next time, get behind a Conservative Mormon instead of the liberal governor of the most liberal place on earth. A true Conservative would never be elected there, and Conservatism rules the Republican party.

Does it? It should, but does it?

That is what happens when the liberal regions that choose our nominee get too full of themselves. They cannot win without the red states. Can you tell me how many red states McCain won? Do you have any idea how those red states will vote once the MSM gets done diggin' around in McCain's underpants? If they are not committed to the nominee as a candidate, do you suppose they will hang on for him through the coming media storm?

My tag used to read: Vote for Rudy McRomsonbee- Turn red states purple in 08!

You are about to see that demonstrated in spades.

I will say that those who have principles are also those who can recognize some of those who proclaim their so called “Religious Right” as the only way are themselves unprincipled!

yup.

Have you heard the sermon of how Hannity and Rush are tools of Satan because they speak out against Huckabee and have said nice things about Romney?

Yikes.

Maybe those nutjobs are who Red’s referring to. Just a wild guess, since I can’t understand what he wrote.
