Freep Alert: Code Pink Targets D.C. Recruiting Center 2/14/08
Wednesday, February 13, 2008 | Kristinn

Posted on 02/13/2008 1:24:23 PM PST by kristinn

The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites all Freepers and lurkers in good standing to join us in defending the Armed Forces Recruiting Center at 14th and L St., NW, Washington, D.C., on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Code Pink is targeting that recruiting center during that time with a counter-recruitment action. We cannot allow them to get away with this. The anti-American left has not given up, even with the success of the surge, so we cannot let down our guard against them.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Trueblackman is taking the lead on this one. He'll have signs and flags for those arrive without them.

Would it be too much to ask for the police to be about two hours late for that event? I mean, don’t they have a lot of donuts and coffee to get rid of before showing up?

I hesitate to call them people but if these people aren’t stopped by LE now, this is just going to spread and as their confidence rises, the violence will increase IMO.

“Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.”

How about mocking? Is that allowed?

OH yes, I do remember ole Ax Handle Lester. I actually had one of those ax handles with his autograph at one time. When the movers came and packed up our household and moved us to Mississippi, I never found the ax handle again. One of those yahoos stole my ax handle. I’ll never forgive him for that.

The most devastating anti-anti-war protest I ever heard about was done by a group of teenage boys, one of whose brother was in the Army in Iraq.

It just kicked the Code Pinkos in the gut to see a bunch of boys, the youngest of whom was 14, sneering at them while entering the recruitment office, just to say hi, and give their good wishes to the recruiter inside. Of course, the Pinkos didn’t know that.

And of course, as the Pinkos yelled at the boys, the boys yelled back, in a rude and impolite manner. Which teenage boys enjoy doing more than somewhat.

One 17 year old cracked everybody but the Pinkos up, when leaving the office, he yelled “I’m gonna be an Airborne Ranger and kill me a bunch of [DELETED] COMMIE [DELETED]s! WE’RE GONNA INVADE [DELETED] CUBA!!! AAAAAUUUUUGGAAAAHHH!!!”

Ah, kids today. Disrespectful of their old, burned out, hippie elders.

I’m afraid ... as much as I would try to be good ... that if I showed up ... there would be some code stink people with missing teeth and I would be in jail. I was called a baby killer when I returned from Nam and I didn’t do anything about it then. That is a decision I have regretted and lived with since 1973. If I heard them call me or another veteran “baby killer” now ... I would now NOT hesitate to correct that bad decision.
